Quoted from DCFAN:Make sure the file name does not have a (1) or some other number at the end of it.
Thanks sir.
I have made that mistake in the past.
So unfortunately that is not my problem.
But great idea.

That's a chroma board. Did you download the chroma.rom? Or Colordmd.rom old style?
Also check for extra suffixes like .rom.rom or .rom.txt
Quoted from Arcade:Just got color DMD for Christmas.
But it refuses to load the USB code.
I have tried 4 different sticks
Reformatted 2 of them and double and triple checked the file name of colordmd.rom
After I hold the button down for 5 seconds the display goes black but no transfer of info takes place on any USB stick.
I can play the game fine in single color mode.
What gives?
I also saw to check for revision 1.3B but I can't find any revision number on my board other then A1.
Here is a photo of my install.
No idea why file won't transfer over.
You need to download the "chroma" firmware, not the colordmd firmware.
You have the new board

Too slow... Thanks Eric
Quoted from PinballManiac40:Arcade, this is your first ColorDMD?
It is not my first Color DMD. I have AC/DC and Metallica in color as well.
I did remember the product key. I took a photo earlier of the screen so I would not lose it.
The Color DMD is up and running great.

That's a new Chroma board, so you need to download the Chroma file for your game and name it appropriately for the board to recognise.

EDIT - page needed refreshing! Was viewing old info.
Quoted from Arcade:What gives?
Also double check that you are using the "chroma" version of the rom, not the "colordmd" version. Both available on the website.

Thanks.
We solved it guys.
It was the Chroma.
