That is not what I had. My thick plastic is clear and the red was a film layer... If it matters, mine is a Pro from about a year ago...

I did get one of the last batch of Met Pros before they converted to LEDs (and maybe the new backbox design at the same time).
Based on what Randy says, that kind of sucks since ColorDMD installers are going to need to replace their shield as well (or go "commando")...
