ColorDMD Brings All The Boys To the Yard!

ColorDMD is excited to announce that Junk Yard is the 56th game to be supported by the ColorDMD multicolor pinball display platform!

1 (resized).jpg

This is the eighth ColorDMD title release for Eric Priepke and third in 2017!   Eric has also contributed colorizations of Ripley's, The Walking Dead, Batman, Spider-Man VE, Spider-Man, Iron Man, and the Flintstones. Eric has always been fast at turning out high-quality titles, but it appears he's kicked into overdrive (and he's not done yet).

Eric resides in Wisconsin with his wife and two children and, if you know Eric, he likes to assemble cool stuff... He is the author of two custom games, Cactus Canyon Continued and a one-of-a-kind Iron Man that employs a high-resolution video display while remaining true to the original rules. Eric is a member of Wisconcin's informal "Ballers for Dollars" league and is an active member of the Pinside and P-ROC pinball discussion forums.

The ColorDMD for Junk Yard pinball machines shares the same easy-to-install hardware platform as previous ColorDMD releases. All displays ship with the factory installed SIGMA ROM that supports WPC, WPC95, SAM, Whitestar, and SPIKE platforms.  Multicolor operation is enabled through download and installation of a game-specific color ROM file, available from our site.  ROMs can be changed at any time, allowing use with any of our supported titles.

Displays are shipping now from our store site or through our distributors.  The color ROM for Junk Yard pinball machines is targeted for release by Friday, March 31!

Awesome Eric. I have a color dmd arriving tomorrow thanks to your hard work making these titles come to life again. Your work is invaluable.

Yes!!! Snagged a jy a couple months ago -- very excited to load up the rom when the restore is finished, will be a nice finishing touch!

So other than Randy, we now see someone else who does not require any sleep. Thank you once again Eric and the whole ColorDMD team for bringing more color into our favorite hobby.

Having a hard time deciding to buy a LED or LCD? You can't really go wrong with either display. Just click on the buy it now so you can be the first to post a game play video.

Not in Junkyard. LED looks great in CV and STTNG

Only LED Works in CV because the space is too small.
I lean towards LCD for all games that are compatable. It's just a few extra dollars and you have the option of dots or smooth graphic upscaling. My LOTR looks awesome! The dots just doesn't cut it when I switch it. Having this option is invaluable. Only $30 more for LCD. I guess if you just like the brightness with more color LEDs the way to go. Although I would like to see a JY video of each before ordering.
