This is awesome news, I just bought another CDMD at the Arcade Expo show on Saturday for my LOTR (I already have a Williams version), and it was delivered today, and then TSPP was announced! I guess I should have bought two.

Awesome! I just went to the site less than 5 minutes ago and there it was. Already downloaded it, now to get it installed.

Wow, just wow! This looks so great it just makes a huge improvement. Hi Res looks great and so do the other options.

I just uploaded a quick video to show my brother what it looks like in our game. It's not my best video work as I was excited to show it to him, so sorry about that.

Thanks. Most of the credit actually has to go to my brother who does more of the tech/mech work than I do on our games. He replaced the fluorescent tube in the back box with various strings of LEDs cut to different lengths depending on the area to be lite.

Each segment of LED is tied into specific lights on the playfield that correspond to the characters. So for example when Bart's insert is lite on the playfield his corresponding LED strip lights up/blinks in sync.

We think it came out really cool and varies quite a bit depending on whether or not you're in attract mode or during a game. During the game it starts out much dimmer because most of the inserts aren't on and you can see the areas light up as you progress. In attract mode you get much more blinking and can see patterns appear as the inserts on the playfield do their various sequences.

Next up we are working on a similar setup for LOTR.
