COLORDMD ANNOUNCES GAME 17!

ColorDMD Displays is excited to announce multicolor support for The Simpsons Pinball Party pinball machines! TSPP is the 17th supported title for the ColorDMD platform, and second game colored by Mark Jarzewiak. The color ROM for TSPP is targeted for release early-to-mid February.

Mark is a member of the Northern Georgia Pinball League, and an active member of the Pinside and P-ROC forums. He joined the ColorDMD team in late 2013, was responsible for bringing Doctor Who to life, and also contributed on Indiana Jones! Mark has done a great job with this title and we're excited to share his work with you!

The ColorDMD Developer Group was formed to encourage participation by the pinball community, increase the rate at which games are colored, and extend the effort to color titles that might not otherwise be reached. The Developer Group is currently engaged on eight active projects spanning WPC, SAM/WhiteStar, and DE platforms. New projects are being added all the time!

For more information on becoming a developer, please contact us at [email protected]!

#7 9 years ago

*Said in a homer Simpson voice*-- woo-hoo!

#8 9 years ago

been waiting for this one and I do not own the game. Just find it to be a no brainer to this great upgrade!

DR. Who is one of the best colorizations so far, so guessing TSPP will be great also!

#9 9 years ago

Sweet!! Ordered. This product is always a necessity. Looking forward to seeing it.

Can't wait!

I've played two other TSPPs in tournaments lately. It's always weird playing a game in monochrome. Once you start coloring it quickly becomes difficult to remember the game ever wasn't in full color.

No videos of the game in action ?

ColorDMD will post one soon I am sure. They usually wait a few days to release a video.

#32 9 years ago

OK I'll rip the DMD out of Dredd

#33 9 years ago

Woo-hoo! Many months ago I volunteered my help to color this game. I was told it was in the works already, release date unknown and to keep it hush hush. I'm glad it's official! Can't wait to see the teaser trailer.

#34 9 years ago

This looks great! +1 for RBION

#35 9 years ago

Can't wait - I'm in on this too! Will be my first.

#36 9 years ago

Yep, I'm in!!! My first time so make it one to remember

Are you ready to do that? Do you have the Stern power cable adapter?
http://shop.colordmd.com/cable-kit-for-sam-whitestar/

You only need to get the cable if you bought your ColorDMD in the past year.

#38 9 years ago

I'm in for my 3rd Color DMD. YES!!!!

#39 9 years ago

Sweet! Been waiting for this to happen.

How? no link found on their website.

#41 9 years ago

Finally another colored display I would buy for one of my games, the last and only one I bought was for MB. This will be a nice addition to Sterns best game ever, thanks for doing this.

I don't see TSPP preorders on their site. Did you buy a sigma one and just plan on downloading the firmware once available?

I imagine you could order the LOTR kit (Whitestar) and then just update it with the TSPP ROM when it's available.

Not a bad idea... just as long as the code hits the website when it comes out. It would be cool to have it on day one with no waiting. I think I'll wait though... I dislike all the computer flash drive mumbo-jumbo.

I have just emailed the guys to ask exactly the same thing. Being my first purchase with them I don't want to stuff it up.

That and I'm in Vegas in 2 weeks, hoping to get it delivered to Tim at PHoF for pick up!!

#47 9 years ago

I believe all the kits are the same and none come with the rom installed. Buy the kit that's in stock for the game that's closest to your own. What you get is a sigma.

Yep. This would be what you want to do to get one for TSPP now.

No ColorDMD comes with the rom installed...you're going to have to do it with a flash drive anyway. They release the code right away now, cuz....they have to!
