Quoted from herbertbsharp:The latest ROM will have the most bug fixes and most refined code. Buying a color DMD seems like a good excuse to make sure you are running the latest version, right? Easy to upgrade and only what, $15?
You're wrong

Quoted from herbertbsharp:Huh, never heard that one, I haven't had a Getaway yet. What's the bug?

Edit: Doh, Herg beat me to it. Should have refreshed first.
Quoted from Captain_Kirk:"Most" people are still on XP, so I'm not sure what that proves.
LOL!
What's that got too do with pinball?
The L2 ROM is better than the L5
Quoted from urbanledge:You're wrong
LOL, fair enough, but most of the time, in my experience, the latest one is the best to use
Lol - yeah, I just "upgraded" my rom from L5 to L2. L2 definitely has some different dots. Just text I believe so wouldn't be hard to color for both roms.
L2 has the RUN THE RED LIGHT message in big letters - I assume this will not be colored as it does not exist in L5.
I will join the chorus and encourage ColorDMD to use L2 as the standard ROM for this release. L5 definitely has some game breaking issues.
Now I gotta buy another one of these might steal the JM display temporarily to check it out... looks awesome!
Heard back from Ric that his game is running L2 and most of the development was actually done with L2.
Any issues with either game ROM, please let us know and we'll do our best to support.
Sorry for any confusion/concern.
Well crap, I read the message about it being developed with L-5 late last night and decided to switch from L-2 to L-5 this morning since I have both.
Frankly, I was getting really pissed with L-2 anyway because I get the multiball bug frequently and to me, that is game breaking. I've heard others say they rarely get it but that hasn't been true in my case.
Quoted from metallik:L5 definitely has some game breaking issues.
I'll have to see how how L-5 treats me for now, can always go back but that multiball bug in L-2 just plain sucks.
I run L5 and its been great, but im not good enough to have the redline/multi ball issue come up, if ever
Yea, L5 isn't bad unless you have really good players who can exploit the multiball restart bug, but the loss of RUN THE RED LIGHT kinda sucks. L2 has bad secret mania and the occasional underrun on ballsaver, giving you 255secs
Quoted from Toasterdog:ColorDMD running on my Getaway. Not my sharpest game, but I just finished my 1st cup of joe and still waking up.
Thanks for the video! Man that looks good! Makes me miss my Getaway

Overall, I like it! But, shouldn't the woman being picked up be a blonde?
We have a HS2:Getaway at The Sanctum to play now (thanks Mark). Getting love but I want to the a ColorDMD in it. All of the teases have been great.
