Just ordered the lcd package. Can’t wait.

This has been my #1 want for GoT....and this looks so beautiful I’m so excited

I wonder how many ColorDMD units sold in the last week based on the release news. I can’t be the only guy that ordered one.

Tracking number shows that mine will be delivered today. Just in time.....bring on winter.

I’m not a pro, my 1st one just arrived and isn’t installed yet. But I think it just comes down to personal preference.

The led is cheaper, has more vibrant colours from all viewing angles, but can look odd with games featuring full motion video instead of dot animation. Each dot is an rgb led so depending on the image, the colour convergence could look a little off. (These look better in older games).

The lcd is a bit more expensive and doesn’t fit as nice as the led, but because it’s an lcd monitor you have options built in for other modes like larger bots, 8-bit, tiles, ect. The colour looks best from the players point of view and it is better for games with full motion video because the screen has higher resolution then rgb leds.

I went with the lcd screen because of recommendations from other pinheads

Did ya plug the cable in the wrong way? Double check the rom file? Did you eject the usb stick properly or just yank it out when it looked done?

I can’t get over how much more I enjoy my game now. It JUST MAKES SENSE. For example the Lannister house quest is called Save Marcella. The 1st shot up the ramp plays the clip when in the tv show Jamie and Bronn see Tyrell solders coming. The 2nd shot up the ramp is Jamie hiding in the grass. The 3rd shot plays the clip of the solders confronting Jamie and Bronn. Then you start the quest if you choose to.

House Stark, 1st shot, Arya gets her sword. 2nd shot, she’s training in kings landing. 3rd shot, she’s heading to bravos to become a faceless man. Then the quest starts and she calls out her hit list.

The colour video is so much easier to make out. It adds so much to the cohesion of the game.

I don’t think that the pick a house screen is getting colored properly yet. The house icon is still set to the default color for Lannister, Baratheon, Tyrell, and Greyjoy. During the random selection animation those 4 houses are at the default color also.

I’d assume that they would be red, yellow, green and purple.

Good call, I’ve never noticed that before. I see what you mean with it being tough to decide.
