Quoted from GorillaBiscuits:Just ordered the GOT kit which presume has all the proper Spike hookups
Can Randy confirm this? I just want to make sure when I order, I get everything I need.
Quoted from epthegeek:I know the email announcement mentions that this title was a huge pile of work -- but I don't know how many people actually read the text in those versus just looking at the pictures. So I'm restating it here : It was a HUGE pile of work.
I don't doubt it. I wondered if some of these games would turn into a "hybrid" color job. The digitized clips in grey scale and the rest in color or something. Didn't think someone could actually get through it all.
Congrats and thank-you to all those involved!
Ordered. Just went for the GOT this time, till GB gets a color update since I've already got green dots on my GB.
But GOT will be my last red dmd getting replaced. After that all my pins will either have native LCD, colordmd or color dots (green on GB, blue on Mustang). No orange left either.
I choose LCD. More options (upscaling, etc), and not as bright.
I've seen the LED version and find it way too bright. Also its limited to traditional (small) dots.
I think it's a great solution for games that simply can't handle the size of the LCD (Cirqus Voltaire, etc), but otherwise I'd recommend LCD for every game that can accommodate it.
Received my ColorDMD, installed no problem.
I set all my games at Scan, and use the low contrast, high brightness settings posted in this thread.
I checked my older colordmds, and they were set the opposite (just from my lack of understanding) so everything looks better now. Thanks to those that posted about this.
