ColorDMD is excited to announce support for Austin Powers pinball machines! This is ColorDMD's 90th supported game to date, and 8th new title release in 2019!!!
Austin Powers is the second colorization effort by Brian Hawkins. Brian started collecting and restoring video games in the 90's but soon saw the light and has since shifted to pinball machines. He had so much fun coloring Lost in Space last year that he decided to do it all over again with another game.
Having recently acquiring an Austin Powers machine he decided that would be a perfect second title to colorize. Being a more recent game than Lost in Space, there were a lot more modes with complex animations to colorize which benefited greatly from the added color.
If you are in the New England area you will be able to see and play his pimped out Austin Powers with colorDMD installed at the Pintastic New England show June 27-30 in Sturbridge MA next month . This was Brian's second colorization effort and he's officially hooked so look forward to him doing another one soon!
The ColorDMD for Austin Powers pinball machines shares the same easy-to-install hardware platform as previous ColorDMD releases. All displays ship with the factory installed SIGMA ROM that supports WPC, WPC95, SAM, Whitestar, and SPIKE platforms. Multicolor operation is enabled through download and installation of a game-specific color ROM file, available from our site. ROMs can be changed at any time, allowing use with any of our supported titles.
