ColorDMD: Aargh, Game 36 Be 'Ere!

ColorDMD's is excited to announce Pirates of the Caribbean as our fifth title release for 2016, and to preview the game at the Texas Pinball Festival later this week!  POTC is the 36th game to be supported by the ColorDMD pinball display platform.  Let the ale flow!

Pirates of the Caribbean is the debut release for Jeff Collins, a programmer and avid pinball enthusiast based in Kansas City. Through POTC, Jeff has been able to blend his hobby and professional talents.

Growing up in the town of Joplin, Missouri, the local arcades were Jeff's favorite childhood hangouts. Pirates was one of the first few pins Jeff acquired about 12 years ago before slipping down the slippery slope of "Surely there's room for just one more in the game room"

Jeff resides in Prairie Village, Kansas, with his wife Kathy. His daughter Maddie attends Kansas State University.  Max, 16, enjoys Dad's hobby, and has helped Jeff carry and position more the 50+ pinball machines that are currently setup in the basement.  (Jeff's slope is very slippery.)

The ColorDMD for Pirates pinball machines leverages the company's easy-to-install ColorDMD SIGMA platform and supports six different rendering styles.  Multicolor operation is enabled through free download and installation of a game-specific ROM using a USB drive. The display may be reconfigured for use with any supported title.

Displays are in stock now for immediate shipping, The color ROM for POTC is targeted for release on Friday, March 25. Thank you for your continued support!  For additional information, including upcoming game previews, please visit us at www.colordmd.com.

EDIT: Video Preview Added

ColorDMD will preview the new POTC ColorDMD at TPF! Thanks to Paul Danis for allowing us to use his game at the show. I think the game will be located in the Back Alley Creations Booth at the show.

We will also have a ring of ColorDMD games hosted by Paul McKinney, Craig Hassell, and Kim Keist (Kimball's Pinballs) including TRON LE, Metallia, Iron Man, Avengers LE, Flinstones, and CV, including a preview of our recently announced LED product offering.

Brian Foytik will be bringing a TZ, and a Corvette with a SIGMA display. A number of other games hosting ColorDMDs will be located throughout the show floor.

No, we plan to demo POTC with our standard display that we are currently shipping. The LED displays will be in the ring. One will be placed in CV and the other in one of the SAM games.

Sorry missed the email. Response sent.

The issue is his 12V fuse is blowing after long periods of the game remaining on. Don't recall hearing other issues with blown fuses on Stern games so could be something particular to this game or display.

It's my fault you didn't receive a response.

I do my best to keep up with email, especially support requests, but went back today and found yours and a few others that went unanswered. Your email arrived in days leading up to a vacation while I was scrambling to wrap up some internal projects.

I apologize for dropping the ball, but I'm glad you were able to find and resolve the problem!
