HUO Monopoly, less than 200 plays. Perfect.

Very low mileage Safe Cracker w/ wings, topper, tubes of NOS tokens.

Above average players Whirlwind w/ Flipper Fidelity kit, some LEDs. NOS WMS original PF available with game.

Beautiful Gottlieb Central Park (EM)

Haven't figured out pricing yet.

Quoted from jalpert:

$3,750 on the TSPP a fair price?

Absolutely, especially considering the shop job. GLWS.

Quoted from fosaisu:

For anyone that likes EMs:

I have the following for sale

Flipper Clown - 1962
Central Park - 1966. Very very nice

Gottlieb Cinderella - 1948. Average/below average. Will need repro glass.
Gottlieb Wishing Well -1955
Universe - 1959
Football - 1949 (Chicago Coin). Absolutely stunning. Looks new.
River Boat - 1964 (Williams)
Teachers Pet - 1965 (Williams). Ugly repainted cabinet, otherwise perfect.

FC and CP are at my house in Erie, the rest are in climate controlled storage in Lafayette. FC/CP don't need anything but tuning and new rubbers. The rest haven't been set up in 15 years.

I am interested in seeing these go to someone who will appreciate them. Asking $1000 for CP and FC, any of the others would be well under that.

I'd really like to drop the storage unit, so willing to make a great deal on the lot.

Only have pics for Central Park at the moment, can take some of the others. Easy viewing in the storage area.

My primary criteria when buying these games were them having playfields as close to pristine as possible. For all but Cinderella (noticeable PF wear in a couple areas) and Universe (small area of wear), that's the case with these.

#101 9 years ago

1978 Bally Strikes and Spares. Well above average original, no issues with backglass. Only area of wear on PF is slight wear on ball path arc at top of game near inlanes. Top board of backboard head is off and will need to be nailed or reattached.

In climate controlled storage in Lafayette. Asking $800.

Also have a new CPR repro backglass available (but there are no issues with original glass)

Update: Game has been sold.

#102 9 years ago

Going to be selling my Creature soon. Overall, the game is significantly above average, just under CQ. Don't have an ad up yet or detailed pics, but if anyone is interested, PM me. Game in Erie (Lafayette).

Game has <100 plays since 1999. Slight wear at snack bar which would be covered with a cliffy. No wear at F and M VUKs. Very slight wear at flipper inlanes. No cracks or issues with ramps.

NVRAM installed on CPU board to remove need for batteries. ColorDMD installed, can be replaced with original (perfect) display. Hologram nice and bright green, motor working fine.

Cabinet art almost perfect. Small wood chip size of a dime at the bottom of the right side of head.

Haven't figured out what my asking price will be, but it will be fair (and I'm reasonable). Not interested in trades.

#106 9 years ago

Creature now FS. Will get pics up later today/tomorrow. Asking $5200. Can swap back in original DMD to lower price. Have a little flexibility if it involves a quick sale and local pickup.

Edit: game has been sold.

#114 9 years ago

Strikes and Spares is sold.

#119 9 years ago

Monopoly and Whirlwind are sold.

CFTBL, Central Park, Universe, New York all available.

#120 9 years ago

My CFTBL has been sold. Thanks to those that were interested.

#123 9 years ago

Data East Time Machine FS. $900.

Game working, but couple of Playfield switches need adjustment. Ramps (including Star Warp) are fine, no cracks or breaks. Cabinet head could use touch up in black areas near edges. Left displays not working. (Have new Xpin replacement display will sell at cost if you want to replace all 4 displays).

Fun game. With just a little work, a great Christmas present for someone.

Might even consider an EM but would really need to be working well especially with the scoring and keeping track of which player and ball is up.

Flipper Clown and Universe are sold.

Gortlieb New York (extremely rare game from 1976) and Gottlieb Central Park still for sale.

So I found this on craigslist:
denver.craigslist.org link
It's above the high price range value wise on this site so my question is this. If it's been shopped, LED's installed and killer shape, is it wort paying this much? I'm sure how much I REALLY want it has to come into play, I just wasn't sure if going by the value range is where I should try and stay price wise.

I would say no, but it's your decision that matters.

Any of you guys who want to add a slot machine to your man cave, I have several available. Priced under 800, original early 80's Bally machines originally from casinos in Las Vegas with reels and handles, and work with coins or tokens. These are the real things, not like those Japanese skill-stop machines...! I also have oak stands available and can fully customize the strips with your favorite hobby. Completely revamped and warranteed.

I went up to take a look yesterday and bought one. John is going to customize the reels for me. Will be a great addition to my game room. Great guy, easy transaction. And one of the absolutely coolest showrooms you will ever see!

#427 9 years ago

Gottlieb 1976 New York FS. Very rare game - only 300 made in honor of Roger Sharpe saving pinball from being classified as a gambling device in the state of New York.

Game is immaculate and looks almost new. New legs. Also includes an spare NOS set of playfield plastics and drop targets and all paper.

Listing here before I list in the marketplace. $1400 OBRO. I would really like to sell this instead of breaking it down and putting it in storage.

I have the following EMs available:

Gottlieb Wishing Well - 1955
River Boat - 1964 (Williams)
Teachers Pet - 1965 (Williams)
New York - 1976 AAB (only 300 made)

If you have any interest, send me a PM. These are all terrific copies of these titles and quite fun, but I just don't have room to keep them. Prices very negotiable. Games are either in Lafayette or Erie.

#507 9 years ago

Someone who used to work with Gilbert reminded me today that the "sight unseen" rules may only apply to games he doesn't have possession of yet.

Just so people don't get the wrong idea - Gilbert is a nice guy with a wealth of contacts that he uses to get games that would otherwise sit neglected in some old time operators warehouse. But he does things his way, and it's OK with him if that doesn't work for you.

Collector Quality Monster Bash available. Short of a HEP, you will not find a nicer example.

Game was fully restored. It has an original NOS playfield (not repro) clear coated by Ron Kruzman last year, new cabinet and art, new leg guards and legs, everything disassembled/cleaned, metal parts tumbled or new, original WMS NOS translite (not PPS), Cointaker LEDs, LEDOCD, NOS PF plastics/coffin, new bumpers/flippers, ColorDMD, new custom painted figures, PinBits headphone and subwoofer kits. Probably some other stuff I'm forgetting. Also have various spare parts and plastics I could add too (and a very cool custom topper with all of the Universal Monster figures).

My lineup plans have changed since I commissioned the restoration.
About two dozen plays on it since I set it up a couple weeks ago.

#2011 7 years ago
Quoted from Elicash:

You got me curious - what are her 2 favorites?
Must keep the wife happy. My wife hates pinball.

It's pretty amazing how my wife says "that's your hobby", but when it came to paring down games to fit in the new game room how many times I heard "ooh, you can't sell that one ..."

The two I wanted to sell were Haunted House and Time Machine. She told me in no uncertain terms that neither was going anywhere.

I considered selling a restored Addams, but decided against that. I was told it would be OK to sell AMH or Playboy, maybe Addams. Everyone else in the family thinks Playboy is boring, but it was my favorite game in college. Mine is fully restored and CQ, so if I do sell it I'm resigned to never having another.

It's going to be really hard to get another new game if I can't ever sell an existing one. With maybe the exception of one of the EMs - she hates them all ...

#2013 7 years ago

My MM was NIB and can tell the difference between playing it an MMR, but I doubt many can. The remake is well done and the game is a lot of fun. I have no concerns about being able to repair an original down the road; can't say the same about MMR and all the speciality boards.

Congrats on selling the BBB. I'm still kicking myself for missing out on Gene's original run. What a cool game!

#2488 6 years ago
Quoted from Mr68:

Hi all. I've received some very kind private messages concerning my status and I'm feeling a little like a drama queen. For now, let's just say I'm selling some games.
Some have asked about the crate builder and shipping company my BBB buyer is using. He tells me it's mostly nationwide and called, Craters & Freighters. He's getting bids now and I can imagine it's expensive.
Interesting side note. My buyer collects only high end machines and has been collecting since the 1970's. Seems like a real gentleman but I've never heard his name before.

I have used Craters and Freighters. Expensive, but amazing crates. The game should be well protected.

Colorado Game Exchange is now a JJP distributor ...

Nice move.

Stern, CGC, American Pinball and now JJP. One stop shopping for NIB games!

#2576 6 years ago

I guess a lot can happen in two weeks.

#2579 6 years ago
Quoted from Whysnow:

interesting. Last time this happened, Stern apparently was not happy.

Given that GEX is one of Stern's top distributors and they have great relationship with Stern, this was a surprise. Stern dropped Kingpin pretty quickly because of the JJP connection (is that the last time you are referencing?), so it will be interesting to see what happens. As last as Stern doesn't do something stupid to "punish" JJ, this is terrific news for Colorado pinball buyers.

I see this as a warning shot to Stern - because of quality and code issues (and probably worse than expected SW sales and what seems to be an underwhelming launch of GOTG) customers want other options. Stern probably didn't care that much when GEX added AP (and maybe even CGC), but JJP is a real threat to Stern outside the Pro market. Since Stern doesn't see the actual buyers as their customers but rather the distributors, it has to mean more when a distributor says "you're not enough any more".

#2581 6 years ago
Quoted from KingPinGames:

I have already been in talks with JJ about the Denver show and current KP customers in the Denver area. We are working together (instead of against each other) to make sure everyone is happy.

One more thing that shows you are a class act.
The only downside to this change is that Kingpin probably won't be my JJP dealer as I prefer to buy locally when possible.

#2601 6 years ago
Quoted from mcbPalisade:

I tried reaching out once, but heard nothing back. Not too surprised I guess.
I suppose realistically that if/when either or both is available then the dealers would have them to play. Big IF - but Chicago Game did reproduce 2 famous machines so who knows.
If there were good Virtual Pinball X versions I could at least check out the features better. BBB has a virtual version but is far from complete.

No dealer is going to have either of those games to play. Maybe if Chicago Gaming remakes BBB.

BBB is more about the art. It's a fun game, but not very deep. Can't say anything about TBL because every time I had an opportunity to play one it wasn't working.

#2720 6 years ago

Best of luck. The game is turning into a sleeper keeper. Seeing more people looking for one now that the code is getting good. And it's the best pin ever for total theme immersion - art, audio, video and custom callouts. No other game comes close.

Quoted from sethi_i:

I've been waiting to see a BM66 come up in this thread. Haven't seen anything and been watching a while. Have the software updates made this a NIB game only?

Sure seems that way. The dumping stopped a little over a year ago. Don’t know of anyone who has the game still on the fence.

The used market for the game was never big in great part to early code status depressing Premium sales and the desirability of the LE (which were truly limited). The LE/SLE buyers that were in early on the game took a huge gamble (which I always thought was a fairly safe bet given Lyman was on the code) and the current 1.02 code certainly hasn’t given anyone a reason to ditch it.

Should be about another year in the Premium run, though Stern just completed one not too long ago. Nice thing about getting NIB now is that you get the playfield and cabinet fixes factory installed. Call JJ and get one before it’s too late!

#3537 5 years ago

Considering selling my Bally Playboy. Seeing if any interest here before Pinside ad. Will donate to pinside if sold locally.

Game was completely restored by Ray Johnson (Action Pinball in SLC) for those that know him.

Original boards (NVRAM installed), Sunning clear coated NOS Bally playfield (not repro), NOS plastics, full cabinet repaint (correct colors/design), great original back glass. Game has been in my collection with very little play since 2000. Recently shopped. Price negotiable, but this is not a players condition or project game. It’s not a HEP, but it’s CQ or close. Buyer would have first option on PDi glass, additional NOS BG, parts and plastics.

Preference for local sale/pickup. PM if interested.

Quoted from manadams:

looking for a Batman 66.

JJ is your friend...

No reason not to call Game Exchange and get one new. Newly produced ones have the node board, ramp, joker targets, turntable and cabinet fixes.

The tree of HUO owners got shook pretty hard during the long code wait. Most of those that stuck it out have their games bolted to the floor. The few HUO sales I know of were gone in days.

1 month later
#3630 5 years ago
Quoted from Stevebo:

I'm thinning out the herd due to a car wreck 4 years ago and have decided to sell my HUO MM. I'm the original owner of the game and it has never been routed and not really played that much considering how old it is. It's in perfect shape, has no mods, original ROMs, but I do have a subwoofer I bought years ago for the game but never installed. I replaced the rings (first time the rings were replaced) and cleaned the playfield a few years ago before loaning the playfield to a local collector that built his own MM and used my playfield to dupe parts for his game. Right now the game has only 954 total plays. We pretty much only played the game when grandkids would come over for holidays although my wife, son, and I played it the most when I first got the game in 1997.

Wow. At least two HUO MMs in Colorado. I thought mine had low plays at just over 2100.

For anyone looking at a MM, nothing beats an original. Those that say they can’t tell the difference between MM and MMR have probably never played an original in great condition. GLWS.

I attended the show today, my first.
I was a bit disappointed by the number of machines there. … There was one Godzilla and it was the Pro version, so it had none of the cool mechs to see and try out.

That’s not a fair complaint - no Premiums or LEs have been shipped so there’s no way one could have been at the show unless special arrangements were made with Stern and the show isn’t big enough to be that important to Stern.

That sounds like someone spouted B.S. to your wife. Dan contracts with Marriott for facilities, not the other way around. Unless the Marriott provides the D.J. (which doesn’t make sense) event staff should decide what the volume is even if the hotel staff has to actually make the adjustment.

Thanks to GEX and Blizzard. They seem to be the unofficial backbone of the show. Can’t imagine what it would be like without them.

Skipped this year but look forward to being back in 2022. Hope Dan considers a much larger Pinside presence next year. Of all the shows Denver has the least presence here.

Any Colorado Pinheads heading down to TPF next weekend? I have a room at the Embassy Suites where the event is being held and I am not going to be able to go. Before I just cancel my reservation I wanted to offer it up to any locals that might not have been able to get a room at the Embassy before they sold out. Send me a PM if interested and we can figure out how to transfer the reservation.

PM sent

Spoke with Dan and Holly. They're about to announce dates any day now.

Never understood why they don’t post a thread on Pinside.
It’s harder to find info/discussion on my local show than any other one I go to.

My neighbors were selling the Tron. I didn’t even know they had it. Got in touch yesterday and made the deal this morning. They told me their email blew up and they finally had to stop replying. It’s in good condition and needs a bath, but will be a great add to the collection.

I guess it was you.
Congrats!

I am no longer looking for an EHOH premium as I was able to find a really nice one on the Pinside Marketplace. Now I have a NIB EHOH topper that I will be selling at some point as the EHOH that I purchased already has the Stern topper installed.

Congrats! Great game.

Let me know if anyone local is interested in a" Sexy Girl" Pinball. Will donate to pinside if it sells hear. Still to lazy to list or deal with out of state folks.
Game is in minty shape.

If this game is in the condition I saw it in a couple years ago (and no reason it shouldn’t be), “minty” is a understatement. I’ve only seen a few examples of this game/conversion and this one was clearly the best.

Windall Brewing in the Orchard is already offering $5 pints and $0.50 pinball on Thursdays. I will be starting a new league starting on Thursday March 23rd at 7pm. There will be mini tournaments the next two Thursdays (tonight Mar 9th and next week Mar 16th) for people to get to know the games and players. Both the league and tournaments will be free to join. Easy Money Erik always has some nice prizes too!
Windfall offers perhaps the largest public collection of LE and CE pinballs, at 14694 Orchard Parkway, Suite 400, Westminster, CO 80023. So with cheap pinball and beer and some friendly pinball competition, why not come join in the fun?
Message me with any questions or to be added to the e-mail list. Cheers, Greg

How did I not know about this place?

Quoted from Mathazar:

My experience:
- if you buy locally/GEX, you will pay sales tax.
- if you buy out of state, you SHOULD be charged sales tax by the dealer/distributor. Most all should by now, but there may be some that don't.
- if you buy out of state and DO NOT pay sales tax at the time of sale, you are obligated to pay the sales tax at the time you do your state taxes in April. If you don't pay it then, and the sale gets traced back to you via the dealer/distributor's sales record, you can be fined and audited in addition to having to pay the sales tax in arears. I've got friends that gamble with that and don't pay it if they're not charged when buying from dealers/distributors out of state and they've never been caught, but for me it's not worth the potential hassle (fine and audit) if I do get caught.

My take? If you are local, by from Game Exchange. You should be paying tax anyway - why not buy from one of the best distributors in the business? You’ll get great service and not have to stress about shipping.

One of Colorado’s premiere pinball collections will be up for sale soon

From BallyHoo to Elvira’s House of Horrors and many eras in between

Those of you that know me or have seen/played my games know that if I say something is Collector Quality, it is. Almost all the games are CQ.

If a game is noted NIB it was purchased by me new, never operated and always in a climate controlled smoke free home.

Unless otherwise noted restored games were restored with NOS (not reproduction) playfields and plastics.

Early Games
Baffle Ball (not CQ)
Bally Hoo (not CQ)
Sky Line (not CQ)
Jigsaw (restored; probably keeping)

World Series (restored)
Metro
Major League (restored)

Classic Gottlieb EMs
Sittin’ Pretty (restored, original PF)
Sweet Hearts (excellent original condition)
Central Park (restored, TPF award winner)
Sing Along (restored)
Target Alpha (restored)

Solid State games
Eight Ball Deluxe (NOS playfield)
Haunted House (not CQ, but close)
PinBot (NOS playfield)
Whirlwind (restored, CPR Gold PF)
Safe Cracker
CFTBL (HEP)
Medieval Madness (original, NIB)
No Good Gofers
Revenge From Mars (NIB)
AFMr Classic Edition
Star Trek Limited Edition (Hemi upgrade)

Elvira series set
Elvira and the Party Monsters
Scared Stiff
Elvira’s House of Horrors, Limited Edition with topper, +mods
This will be initially offered only as a set of three. If not sold as a set EATPM and SS will be available; EHOH considered

Not currently for sale:
Jigsaw
Batman 66 LE
Cactus Canyon Remake LE

All games that support ColorDMD have it.
Preference given to buyers that can pick up or make their own shipping arrangements.

NOS translites, backglasses, repro backglasses, NOS parts and ramps (mostly game specific) and some rare items will be available later in the summer.
Purchaser of any given game will have first option on related parts.

This is not a fire sale nor is there a time limit (I’m not leaving the area). I’ve been in the hobby for over 25 years, reasonable to deal with and open to package offers but please don’t waste time with silly low ball offers.

CQ games aren’t sold at player’s condition prices.

Games will be available for sale in mid June

Prices and full details will be posted in a few weeks.
Pinside Marketplace ads will be created; any game sold through Pinside will have a related donation

Please don’t ask questions or make offers here - the games aren’t for sale yet - this is a heads up post to the Colorado pinball community before I start a general Pinside thread.

I will create an interested parties list for those who PM they might specific items but unless you make me an offer I’d be an idiot to refuse, nothing is for sale now.

-

[Think you might want a terrific house with the famous award winning arcade with games waiting for you, a 4K Theater with drop down screen, Bar, incredible original Seeburg V200 juke with working selectors, restored Coke Cavalier 72, a classic Bally slot with whole house audio and video distribution? When the house is listed it’ll be posted here as well]

With you putting so much up for sale including your home, I hope things are going okay for you. Be well.

Thanks. I’m fine. Just an unexpected change in direction on the path of life. I’ll miss the collection as it is but incredibly fortunate to have curated it and enjoyed it as long as I have. I’ll still be very much involved in pinball, just with a few games in a new place.

Quoted from tylery85:

My son has muscular dystrophy and uses scooter, which can be tough in crowds with heavy foot traffic. Waiting in line for a game and trying to pull up to play one is difficult without impeding on those around us, which I am considerate of and do my best to avoid. Everyone at the showdown was very courteous and we had a great time. I wanted to quickly spotlight the people at Inclusive Gamewerks. They had a section at the showdown demonstrating their handheld controllers for people whose limited mobility prevent them from reaching the flipper buttons on pinball machines, either because their chair can't get close enough or simply because they physically can't reach them. Learning about their mission and product really touched me and sort of brought two parts of my world together. It also just reminds me of how great the pinball community is and how our love of the game should be enjoyed by all. Check them out on facebook if you get a chance. Really cool people. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100094682732127

I have cerebral palsy and a spinal injury and have more and more difficulty standing for extended periods of time. I saw the booth and sort of dismissed it as a gimic. Then I talked to Joe and played a few games with the controller.

All I can saw is Wow! A simple concept very well executed. No perceptible delay. I bought a controller and additional harness kits so I’ll be able to move the controller from game to game simply by moving an RJ45 cable to the target machine. I’m fortunate in that I won’t need to use this all the time to play pinball but glad to have an easy option when standing isn’t comfortable enough. It was a little difficult getting used to the perspective change but that’s minor.

There are other less expensive options but this is an elegant solution from a Colorado based company that will make my pinball playing much more enjoyable and allow me to play for longer periods.

"Price update. I’ve done some research. Thank you to all the honest emailers who told me it was worth more. I now think it’s worth $14k but I’ll take $12,500. My grandpa died and left me this, it’s just been collecting dust and taking up space and I’ve never played it. I tried to and it didn’t turn on so I just decided to sell it. I don’t know anything about it other than it was at his house my whole Life growing up and he loved it."

lol! Odds of it being worth anywhere near $14k or even $12k are about as close to zero as mathematically possible. If it actually exists I’m guessing the original batteries are in it along with acid damaged boards.
