Anyone here end up with the pin and bowler from Arvada on yesterdays CL?
I was curious as to what condition they were in and how much they went for.
Quoted from rad:Looks like somebody purchased them (prob at the ~$200/ea price the person was asking) and has posted them for sale on CL today.
I would like a bowler myself, but I think I would like the full size.
Thanks!
Quoted from fosaisu:Yikes, must have been! It didn't look terribly professional but I didn't see any obvious red flags ...
The thing which I found strange if I recall the ad correctly was that it didn't list the name of the auction company or have dates and times of the auction and/or preview period. A lot of the time auction houses will have links to their site with more information and pictures. It seemed odd to me that there wasn't more info available.
I'm disappointed I hoped that it was legit.
Quoted from Its_me_aj:Went and looked at the firepower and hook at mirage today. He is asking 995 for the firepower. It works and looks great but has some minor issues that could be easily fixed. Thoughts?
The hook he is at 1995 and it's really clean. Just feel he is too high.
If I remember right there is also sales tax on top of the price.
Quoted from Dano:Pinball machines are so hot these days that they will probably sell regardless.
You are probably right, unfortunately.
People can try to sell their machines for whatever price they want. However, this business about buying something in dark is ridiculous. To me this is going beyond a shady business deal and right into sleazy territory. Even the most notorious used car salesman lets you at least see the car!!
Quoted from outcida:He's asking $4000 not $3500. Do you guys think it's worth it? It has a couple tiny wear spots down to the wood near the pop bumpers, the right side of the cabinet is slightly faded, and there is a small chip on the whirlpool ramp.
From what we have to go on so far I think that it is worth it.
The fact that the topper is outstanding is nice.
In general they take a lot of abuse and are missing a lot of the time.
I said that I wanted a real hobbit to along with the machine.
I heard that was a super premium LE vault-ish option.
Quoted from Wickerman2:They wanted $2k for the Slick Chick earlier that week...not sure what they sold it for at the moving sale but $2k was about $1k too much
I have to agree.
It's a title I would like to own.
But I was thinking more in the 600 - 800 range.
Maybe as much as 1k for a nice example.
I am looking for a couple of original arcade games if anyone is interested in parting with them or has leads to a possible source.
I can pick them up at the Showdown or arrange something else.
Crazy Climber
Boot Hill
Sea Wolf, Sea Wolf 2
PMs are welcome.
Thanks
Hello,
If anyone comes across any GP (Grand Products, Inc) 301/Bulls Eye Conversion Pieces or parts, backglass, decals, ect.
Let me know,
Thanks
Quoted from Wickerman2:Craigslist, the new Ebay
The one constant is people's nature.
Quoted from Russell:Is the Spectrum game on Craigslist anyone here?

$3500 seems way too high. What's it worth?
I would be interested in it for $2000 +/- how it looks in person.
I think it would be a nice paring with Xenon
Hello,
Did anyone from this group snag that CL Spectrum that popped up yesterday?
I saw it two hours in but no reply and now the add has been removed.
So I assume it was sold or wasn't legit in the first place
I'm curious to know what the story was.
Quoted from pinmister:Not sure it sold, he has been posting it on CL on and off for months now. It is also listed on Pinside.

I think that there have been three Spectrums on CL in relatively recent times.
There is the one you mention.
The second one, which I believe is different is:
denver.craigslist.org link
The third one was up for only a short time yesterday afternoon on CL
I can't post pics of it here (due to the uploading of imagines being disabled for this sub-forum) and the add was removed so I can't post the link, but here is what it said.
"Spectrum Pinball - $2400 (Denver)
image 3 of 3
Nice Bally Spectrum Pinball arcade game. Fully working and absolutely beautiful. Super rare game very few left in the world. Has some LED, recently shopped and waxed. Took me 2 years to achieve Super Star status. Fun but hard game that makes you think. Modeled after Mastermind board game from 1970's. Less than a 1000 made. $2400 obo"
It was in the price range and condition I was looking for so I was excited to see it but evidently I was too late to the party.
Or it was just someone messing about, as will happen on CL from time to time
Evidently, someone from Nebraska is also seeking a Theatre of Magic
The short details inside the posting made by chuckle so maybe not serious
If serious will probably be edited soon, too bad I can't post a snippet of it.

Vintage Star Trek Pinball Table $500
Did anyone here end up with this one?
I'm curious to see what it went for and what the condition was like.
Anyone here pick up the CL Spectrum for a song and dance?
I was on it in less than 30 minutes, but it's gone! Whew~!
Someone got a deal
Quoted from Mathazar:Saw this 1983 Joust Pinball on CL tonight. I love playing the one at Lyons Classic Pinball. Never seen one for sale before:
denver.craigslist.org link
Granted it is only one picture but from description it seems to be in excellent condition.
Plastics are always broken from the examples I have seen over the years.
The CL poster is right in that they are difficult to move due to their unique design and shape.
It is a great party game, people love the head to head aspect!
It is in my opinion, unplayable as a single player game
It'll be interesting to see how much interest this niche game attracts.
Did anyone end up with the CL, flipped Ripley's BION?
I was interested in the lighted flippers mod.
I haven't seen one of those in person.
It seems like it would have a cool look.
Quoted from Charles_Kline:I’ve got a Joust vid at the show that is for sale.
Chicken Shift, was a fun and different sort of a game to play I also really liked the Omega Race Cockpit, that was fun and I hadn't played it in a cockpit format before. The Tempest colours are very bright and vivid, it really pops. As far as pins go, it seems like the Arduino is a viable solution. I'm glad to see innovations like that.
