    Quoted from Russell:

Drew, do you have plans for leagues, tournaments?
By the way, Stewie pinball on Family Guy doesn’t work at all.

Ok thank you, we will he there today or at the latest tomorrow to level games and fix all issues.

Yes we will hold tournaments and leagues.

Thanks guy for the new location locally. I basically play on route a few times a year at the arcade in Manitou. Glad to know of a new place and hope to check it in the near future.

    #53 5 years ago

I played there last Sat. Its nice to have a place close to me with new machines.

    #54 5 years ago

Went to Cleats/The Control Room last night. Three of us had beers, food, and played. We were there for a couple of hours, and it was a fun time. They have newer games (mostly Stern) that I personally like. It would be good to get a few older games as well, as there was still some empty wall space!

I have to agree with Russell that some were pretty floaty (TWD especially). I didn't notice a side-to-side level issue, so maybe that got handled. I think the tilts were excessively tight on a couple of the games (tilted just from multi-ball action on one) and non-existent on others. The waitress said they'd only been running for about a week, so I'm sure there are kinks to work out. The more feedback we can provide, the better.

    #55 5 years ago

Thanks so much for the feedback. Our technician was there today and leveled games and repaired Family Guy.

    #56 5 years ago

I’m here now. TWD is very floaty and exit out of pops goes SDTM. A tough game to set up properly.

    #57 5 years ago

TWD still WAY too flat and leaning hard to the right. Stewie working well.

What do you think of the tilts? I thought MB and GotG were a bit extreme. Even a tap got a danger or worse. DP and Munsters were touchy but you could nudge some. TWD didn't seem to have one!!

Ok we will add a larger rubber so the ball hits it on its way down from the pop bumpers.

    #60 5 years ago

We will also lower the tilt bob so you can nudge

    #61 5 years ago

Alice Cooper on it's way down in two weeks

    #62 5 years ago

Yes, tilts are pretty tight. I bet you can fix TWD just by putting it at an appropriate angle. Mine works fine without any extra rubber.

Very excited about this!!! Will it be extra or replace an existing game. If it is a replacement, I vote for it to replace the problematic TWD.

    #64 5 years ago

It will replace the worst earning game, so stop playing twd, haha.

My vote is to adjust the angle of TWD and add AC. Are you limited to the space you already have there?

Much appreciated. Certainly not looking to go nuts, but a tap shouldn't get a danger.

    #66 5 years ago

We will have more space with phase 2 in May

Any good spots downtown for pinball? I live downtown and hit up Supernova but theirs seem to be out of order or in rough shape a lot of times. I'll have to drive up and check out Control Room this weekend.

Not really. Supernova’s games are awful. Manitou Penny Arcade has some decent games. But really, The Control Room is the best we’ve got. Hopefully, we can help them optimize it and turn it into something great.

    #69 5 years ago

Thanks Russell, sad there isn't anything good downtown as I like being able to walk in the evenings and get a few games in. I'll definitely head up to the Control Room to try to support it. I've often wondered if a decent arcade could make it around downtown.

    #70 5 years ago

Supernova has always been very resistant to any help or assistance.

Can definitely tell since half the machines a couple machines are out of order and the others are in rough shape. Shame. On a happier note going to go check out the Control Room tonight.

I'll be there at 4 with Pinsider Apex to play a bit.

I won't be able to head over there till 6 or so. I'll be interested to see how busy a place like that is on a Friday night.

    #74 5 years ago

i can't see those titles in the pic. Can anyone list them?

    #75 5 years ago

Munsters, Deadpool, TWD, GOTG, GB, Family Guy, MBR

    #76 5 years ago

Family guy has a ball trap...

TWD much less floaty now. Thanks. Also appreciate reduced prices to $0.75.

    #78 5 years ago

Nice to meet you Russell. The .75 a game is much appreciated.

    #79 5 years ago

The games have improved dramatically. I would still like to see a few tweaks:

Monster Bash and Munsters need to have ball saves added.

Monster Bash needs the tilt loosened.

The action button on Guardians is stuck.

Yeah, the MB tilt was ridiculous. I hoped it was loosened when the tech came down. Let me know if anyone is planning on playing there next week.

These adjustments will be made this week

Drew- thanks so much for being so receptive. All requests have been addressed. Games are now playing great. Could barely get on a game today, at 4:30. This is how operators should all function. You’re quickly building a community of players. Time to have a tourney?

    #83 5 years ago

Thank you very much. We are setting up the location as a Stern Army location for tournaments and launch parties. Have an awesome weekend.

    #84 5 years ago

Cool to hear about another location. Keep up the good work. Pinball for all!

    #85 5 years ago

Just finished another restoration. It is a 1972 Gottlieb World Series.

Alice Cooper will be in here soon and it will replace one of these machines. Here are the three machines that are in the bottom after the first three weeks:

    Monster Bash SE
    Walking Dead Pro
    Munsters Pro

    #87 5 years ago

Played a bunch of Munsters last night so hopefully it stays. Still no ball saves on it though

    #88 5 years ago

Would definitely vote to keep Munsters and Monster Bash. I think Munsters lost the ball save when the code was updated. Still, it’s great to have a local operator that updates code! (Time to step it up, Manitou Penny Arcade.)

    #89 5 years ago

    Walking Dead
    Monster Bash
    Munsters

That's my order for replacement. WD is a fun game, but I play MB and Munsters more.

    #90 5 years ago

Any new progress on a tournament or league? Last weekend I threw the idea out to a couple of other players there, and they said they'd commit.

    #91 5 years ago

Alice Cooper arrives next week. Yes Munsters ball save got erased with the new code update. It's back on now.

Will keep you posted on tournaments and launch parties

Anyone interested in meeting up at Control Room this afternoon/evening?

    #93 5 years ago
    Quoted from Apex:

Anyone interested in meeting up at Control Room this afternoon/evening?

I was thinking of heading that way at about 5:30 for a couple of hours. I have a ton of work to do this weekend, I might need a beer and a game first!

    #94 4 years ago

Monster Bash. Ball got stuck under Frank stand ups, knocked ball free but bank of targets stuck in partially up position. Was worried it might burn the coil, so i switched it off. Hope that was OK, just trying to be helpful.

Drove out to play Alice Cooper and it didn't register the quarters I was putting into it. Sounded weird like the quarters were landing on the wooden bottom of the cabinet.

While he’s there...can he make the tilt a bit less sensitive?
