I will be in Col Springs 27 JAN to 11 FEB for training and might get a few hours off here and there. Are those arcades in Manitou Springs and the Garden of the Gods RV park worth going to? Games in decent shape? Any other place better to go to? Anyone want to link up?

I was there a year and a half ago and games were rough. That said most played pretty well and some of the older EM stuff was cool as I hadn't seen it before (before my time). If I was in the area again I would go again.

    #3 2 years ago

Went to bicycle mechanics school there for a few weeks--great place. Don't know about the arcades, but definitely walk thru Garden on the Gods, that place is very cool. If you mountain bike the riding there is exceptional. Lots of bike shops to rent a bike from as well.

    #4 2 years ago

I used to be stationed there about 10 years ago so I know the area well but wasn't into pinball then.

That town was washed away about two years ago by floods because of a fire on the mountain.
I don't know how much survived gamewise

    #7 2 years ago

Arcade Amusements in Manitou is still there and is worth a visit. It has lots of different games, not just pinball. They have some cool old (non-pinball) electromechanical arcade games. They do have some brand new Sterns as well. It's one of my family's favorite places to visit when we're in the Springs.

The town didn't literally "wash away". There was a lot of flood damage around town but it was pretty well fixed when we visited last summer (2015).

This is 100% wrong. Why would you even post this?

There was serious flooding, but the town is still there. I was there the day after the flooding, and there was a lot of cleanup to do, but the games were mostly okay. I went there a few months later and it looked like a full selection of games to me.

The only 'I don't know' was about the games. Not about the town.

Either take it to the deathmatch area (https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/forum/pinsider-deathmatch), or start a mod feedback thread. Please stop polluting this thread with multiple posts designed to bait others.

Wow. Here I thought I was getting some great advice (besides TVP, thank you) or maybe an invite or something with all these posts. Here its just petty bickering. Yes, the mountain biking and dirt bike riding are both exceptional. I wish I could retire there. It is good to see Manitou back on its feet. Neat little town. We used to run around GotGs for PT once a week. I also hope that Irish Folk Singer is still performing at the Pub downtown.

If you have time to drive @ 1hr 1/2 north just past Boulder we have about 4O games from 60s to Game of Thrones LE in Lyons CO at Lyons Classic Pinball. Our town was also damaged in the floods but we are back in business as well. Introduce yourself if you come by. Good luck in your search.

    #41 2 years ago

If you make it up to Denver, hit me up. I'll gives ya the tour. That and if you help me drag a game into my basement, I have 30 +games at my joint!

    1 week later
    #42 2 years ago

Thank you all. I don't know if I will be able to make it up to Denver. Maybe Super bowl day as I don't really care if I watch the game or not. My team ain't playin.

I want to thank C2S and PinballHiro for inviting me to their houses to play pinball and watch football yesterday. I had an awesome time playing all their great pins and enjoying a good game of football with great food and people. You all are welcome to my place wherever I may roam.
    Again, thank you.
