For the old-timers here: before ColorDMD, you had a full-color backglass, over a full-color playfield, separated by an orange Amdek 300A monitor driven by a Hercules card. (Yes, I'm that old, and had both of those hooked to my PC-AT as a second monitor debugging aid.)
Set next to a modern machine (like DI/LE), the DMDs on older-yet-still-awesome machines look jarringly dated. When I placed my DI/LE order, I realized that ColorDMDs were going to be required on the two machines sitting next to it to make them look like they belonged there.
Thanks to ColorDMD, they _do_.
