So far as I know, there's only one game in town for DMD replacements, and that's Color DMD.
I understand the difference between LED and LCD, and probably would like the LCD more, but wondering if it's really worth it?
Thanks!

LCD used to not work in PM (I imagine breakshot was the same problem) but I think the new slim models work now. A lot of guys say the LED is the way to go on pinball magic anyway though
LED ColorDMD is an easy fit for both games. The new thinner LCD is now in the store available for both and a few people already installed in Capcom games. It will be tough to fit the older v1.3 LCD in Capcom games.
This is not a colorDMD display. You can order colorDMD LCD or LED from colordmd.com and from retailers.
Quoted from Major-Havoc:There is PinballSP. That’s who I usually go with.

Yes and Yes!
The new model LCD display works with capcom games. Thinner model and the control board has been moved to deal with the metal box, and you dont have to move anything else.

Umm, Just No, No way. Cant beat colordmd.
Thanks to all for suggestions! I am interested in what PinballSP can do - but can't understand most of what's posted even with translate, I understand there's going to be some programming involved with all games so they will finally output in color. Wonder if PinballSP does this?

You will probably get a kit to build it yourself. Then you will probably find out no one has colored your game or at least not completed the whole game. If this is one of those things where you set it to a 4 color palette they look like crap.
ColorDMD is the only complete and ready to install color option. If someone disagrees let them post pictures similar to those Ken Layton posted above so we can compare.
Quoted from TheLaw:ColorDMD for PM is great, but I'd prefer the LCD.
Not complaining though
I said it above to.
You can install LCD ColorDMD in Pinball magic now. However, you do have to buy the newest model.

Correct but I already have it installed
Quoted from transprtr4u:Best mod for any game... I agree the LCD is the way to go as it has more display options
The best mod for any game is PinSound, but ColorDMD is not far behind.
