I bought a new, unopened cole DMD from a vendor at the Allentown show.

I went to the website and read the directions (this is for a TOTAN). I hooked it up, rechecked everything connection wise 3X, and turned it on. I get no LED's on the DMD board, and nothing on the screen. Rechecked the directions, and I have the connections correct, with the power coming from J138.

Turned the game off and re-read the directions. The only thing I changed was the addition of the included ground wire to the ground lug on the back of the DMD assembly, to the ground braid on the machine.

Turned it on again and something went POP. The machine powers on, attract mode is fine, but still no DMD. Not sure what the pop was, but I am thinking I have created a $400 paperweight which REALLY sucks.

In the event the pop was not the DMD, does anyone have any idea where I might start on the DMD issue? I am nto sure I can return it as it is not a Color DMD vendor. I have reached out and they have offered to come by and look at it if need be.

Thank you in advance.

Quoted from Dmod:

If no LEDs are lit on the ColorDMD controller, check/replace the fuse at F109. Measure the voltage between the gray/yellow and black wires coming to the ColorDMD and make sure you are getting 12V.

Thanks- I will try this tonight.

You are the man! Fise 109 was bad. Not sure why, but that's another story. Now do download the files! The DMD seems to be sitting a little low, but was installed per the directions. Maybe once I download the update that will be straightened out.

:Edit: Re-read the directions and saw the settign for WPC95.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
