Hey guys i am thinking of getting color dmd's for my 4 games,i looking at install video's and it does not look like a big deal
but is it harder to instal on older Stern's like Tspp and Spiderman ?

the Rom install is all by Usb Key for Met Tspp sm and Acdc ?

I've installed one on 3 B/W and an Ironman

Easy peezy

The only thing with IM was having to set the device for SAM, other than that just follow the instructions and enjoy the color

Installation normally shouldn't take more than 15-20 minutes. Less for installs where transferring boards or mounting hardware from an old display isn't necessary.

The color dmd rom for Tspp is install by what way ? there is no Usb slot

My game is on 5.0

The color ROM is installed on the ColorDMD display controller board using the board's USB port.

There's no change to any of original manufacturer boards or software.

Good choice. They are great. Have one in my lotr, sttng (easily a 5k title . ) and Tron.

I got my 4 Color dmd's

Are they all the same ? Met ACDC SM and Tssp is all the same Color Dmd ?

I'm having a hard time installing TSPP Screen does not work
The Green light (done) is light
i can go into the settings i have put my Tspp on WS and Saved still nothing

I looked at all the connectors and cleaned them 3 times and still a black dmd screen

The narrow ribbon cable is reversed at the Whitestar board. Red stripe should be toward the corner of the board.

Did my fish tales in under an hour yesterday and most of that was cleaning before putting in nice pretty display. Wow...ia all I can say. So much better in color.
These are easy to install and the code is easy to download on memory stick.
Congrats OP on the upgrade.

I did not know how to update rom cause my usb key was not good also
and Randy helped again.

I did install videos for Color DMD on most of the different brands of pinball machines. Good if needed for reference
