No, East South West North are right in the middle of the playfield (the compass) and you have to complete them to get to the wizard mode.

Yeah I do think perhaps it would have been better just to post the pic of Batman as the first hint .. People would have had a million guesses. Then do Cartman as the second pic ... People would have jumped on the "man" and ran with that, probably still ignoring West and South .. then the third clue of Clint would have puzzled some people, and eventually POTC would be known.

They have dots, so I am not sure why Stern could not work in conjunction with Randy/Chris to make it happen? It would be a great partnership for both of them.
Everyone hoped GB would be full color, but the consolation of having colorDMD all done and ready to go upon the first show debut would be a great thing for both. Stern would sell even more games and obviously ColorDMD would sell even more displays.
Except for one important aspect - when was the last time Stern shipped a pinball machine with completed code? That has to be done first before ColorDMD. For that reason alone, this will never happen.
