I purchased a ColorDMD for an older Williams game but haven't put it in yet. Could I use it in my Star Trek Pro instead?

I thought there was an issue with fitting the ColorDMD units into the Sega marquis-style backboxes.

It really is all about personal preference, for STTNG I highly recommend the LCD though, it looks great is HiRes mode and although I don't have either of the other two I think they would be better in LCD than LED based on the type of graphics and animations they have. CFTBL may be better served with a LED though if you want more vibrant greens and to keep some of the nostalgic look. Can't go wrong either way.

I thought about making a thread about that but thought it would be weird from someone involved. Then also how would you rate it? Based on the original animations, the coloring job or a combination of the two?

My mistake - I thought it had one of those rounded "showcase" translites like Space Jam or Starship Troopers. My understanding is that there's a low support strut that gets in the way of ColorDMD's screens.

But now there are the LED displays that should fit fine in those games.

We are officially at one month since Avatar was announced as the latest to get color. Wow. I sure am needing a color fix again. Hoping for some new hints this week.

I've been hoping for Junk Yard since the start of this thread! It's an underrated game with great animations and I think it's slowly rising in popularity. The owners thread has been getting a lot of activity lately.

Would be an amazing 2017 to see The Walking Dead and Star Trek! Both seem like their code is done.....Perhaps just 1 more bug update, otherwise done.......

This is actually kind of an interesting concept. Not sure most would agree with you, but it's an interesting idea.

I think it would be a cool concept for a single mode, but not for all gameplay. For example, the TV show used some black and white scenes in the Season 6 premiere, but not for the entire episode.

You can already do black and white just put a screen in now and set the color to white. Not sure it would be worth adding just red for blood.
I have one in my twd with smoothing on. Looks great. I now can't play one with regular dots.
