I hope everyone realizes that this would be a LED only type machine. From what I see, the ColorDMD board would have to be moved from the back of the display and be mounted somewhere else on the game as well.
It is a similar situation as Gilligan's Island, Black Rose and Party Zone. Though, there is not a lamp board to move the ColorDMD board to the backside of so another place will need to be found to mount it to.

I tested a LCD out with the Slugfest and snapped these pictures knowing the LCD will not fit. I just wanted to see how the display would look.

I would think with Slugfest being somewhat basic. Wouldn't it be a easy colorization? I don't know what is involved, but it seems it doesn't have the complexity of other titles.

I know epthegeek has worked on some tough titles, so this is an afternoon for him. Not sure if he would do it without having a game in reach so he could test it.
Plus someone needs to see if the LED display will fit. I currently don't have a spare LED display to try out. Once a display goes in a game, it stays.

Excited for this one to be released . Yes I will swap in color dmd in an instant for the great slugfest!
Killer game everyone should have one.
Slugfest or any pitch n bat game are great to have with pinball. Would love to see a updated baseball game,MLB teams but the rights would be rediculous!

Who has test fitted the LED display in Slugfest? I am not quite sure it will fit. Well, at least not without moving the ColorDMD board elsewhere. Still the thinkness of the whole assembly has me worried that it may not.
I have lcd but not led around....
I am near Allentown with a slugfest though, if anyone has an led panel to test with???

It fits. I have an LED in mine. The board does need to be detached from the display just like GI and BR.

All ColorDMD displays ship as a Sigma display, which you can buy now. Full color is not available yet. It would just be a downloadable multi-color ROM you have to load once it is released, just like any other multi-color ROM release. Thing about the Sigma display is that you can at anytime change the single color of the display at your choosing.
