Done by somebody with poor taste too. No reason that should be a rainbow of fruit flavors like that.

Would be curious about the mounting too, since Gilligan's backbox is non-standard. I think maybe Randy is messing with us.
Quoted from Dellamarmalade:Wow not even for IJ
IJ is a pretty steep hill to climb with the various video modes. I'm sure it'll get done eventually though.
Quoted from PinballManiac40:Uggh!! Why the hell not TZ and Indy next??
TZ too. Lots of random. Make the frame matching difficult.
Quoted from Gov:I am sure it would be a lot easier for ColorDMD to just announce what games are being worked on right now, but then that would lead to other headaches of people constantly wondering when is the game going to be done... also there might be unforseen complications that make the colorization process not work on said title. Give them a break, they want to get the popular titles out too I am sure.
I'm sure there have been at least a few 'community contributors' who started with good intentions and then realized the tedium of doing the actual work wasn't something they wanted to follow through on.
Quoted from tjsynkral:Yep. Every time ColorDMD says they accept user submitted colorizations, a few people pop up and mention emailing the guy and offering to do it. Pretty clear which side the bottleneck's on.
I would love to colorize my JP or CV.
CV has the mounting problem -- unless Randy has custom cut LCD sizes made, which would make it much more expensive -- So that's not really likely.
Quoted from Guinnesstime:Technically, the DMD for the first ball should be standard, then Balls 2 & 3 in color.
Well played sir. Well played indeed.

Quoted from Jazman:Ooohhhh.... a puzzle. Notice the difference between the 1st post and the 2nd...
Aha! So Randy IS messing with us.
Quoted from tjsynkral:Hmm, if they're not actually doing Gilligan, they're going to have a bunch of angry pin owners to deal with...
"Finally some respect for Gilli--oh WTF?"
He's done hints of releases before, so it's not surprising. But if this really is leading to announcing some game other than Gilligans Island like it appears, that's pretty mean.
/I approve
How's this for a stretch?
The original FB post makes mention of the future looking bright.
The song "The future's so bright, I gotta wear shades" was used in the movie "My Best Friend is a Vampire"
Step 3 .... ?
Bram Stoker's Dracula
Quoted from TaylorVA:Only letters left will be able to spell Indiana
And they're yellow/orange to boot.
Quoted from jsyjay:Anything to do with this?

Not related at all.
Quoted from Kineticross:Could you at least create the DMD for GI for those who want it?
The color DMD screen in gilligan would be a huge dark spot. The DMD in the backbox of GI is not mounted in the standard way and has light all around it, so the excess screen normally hidden by the speaker panel would just be a big shadow.
Quoted from epthegeek:Every time this thread pops back up I think "Oo! What is it?" and then it's just you guys dreaming.
And there it is ... (on Facebook)
Quoted from shimoda:ColorDMD colors the pixels to their original brightness level. If I remember correctly, PB/SDMD flattens the brightness down to four levels - off, low, medium, and high - basically the brightness levels of earlier Stern and B/W levels. Newer Stern displays use up to 12 levels of brightness which really adds some depth to the coloring.
SDMD doesn't flatten to four shades in particular, it just has to use slots on the 16 color pallets for shades, which colordmd doesn't.
