    Quoted from Dmod:

There's also the possibility that my clues don't actually stink.
Besides... what else did you have to do today?

Stink as in like dead fish?

One thing I see in ColorDMD's future is huge sales when the Sterns get colorized. ACDC, TRON, LOTR, TSPP, MET, and POTC will sell a boatload.

    #152 5 years ago

    Alrighty, I'll bite.

    GO Fishing.
    Bart is FISHING for cash.
The monster fish spinner is a key scoring strategy in the game.
Mark Ritchie is the fisherman in the translite, and hasn't been done before.

It's clearly FT, which is awesome.

That kind of makes some sense. Although you might be fishing with some of those.

Too much History channel led me to this conclusion.

A picture of the United States, Bart stealing money from Homer, and Monopoly board. Put it all together and you have US STEEL MONOPOLY.

JP Morgan was instrumental in forming the steel monopoly. His first two initials are JP. The same two initials that make up John Popadiuk. Add in spinning trunk that requires a key and you are left with TOM.

Sorry, that's the best I got.

Lol...Lol..... even if you're wrong you should get a t-shirt. That was awesome!!!

Chris Granner is the sound designer on Simpsons Pinball Party and Monopoly. Bingo!

Can't be. TAF is a Pat Lawlor game that has already been done.
The USA map/flag looks like the Stern Made in USA logo.

    #159 5 years ago

JPOP is the only game designer not yet done. I am hoping for TOM, assuming the pictures have nothing to do with the hints. The trunk is the spinning toy that is key feature in the game.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I wasn't saying Road Show is the game they are doing, I was just saying that it fit your pattern of Chris Granner doing the music for games associated with the images.

It leads me to think FT is more likely, though I don't get the "key" reference.

    #161 5 years ago

Key reference could only be the key to the magic trunk in TOM or the 'spinning' feature is "key" to game play/scoring. That would rule out TOTAN as that is really just a toy and not key to much? and WCS again soccer ball is not really key to anything.

Leaves TOM and FT again which are both key elements to play. Multi reel lock is by far the most key and chris ganner music dude is a good read on the picture aspect of the clues. That confirms FT.

My shist size is Medium. Thanks

    #162 5 years ago

They're messing with us, it is BOTH FT and TOM.

    #163 5 years ago

I think its time we get randy a new watch.

his "in an hour" post last night was not a normal hour

and now it is 705amPST and no update.

    just messing with you Randy.

    #164 5 years ago

    "Guess what's coming next..."

    Fourth (and final) Hint:
For each of the previous three hints, find one word that describes what's in the picture. Combine the words and unscramble the letters to find the name of the game.

We'll send a free T-shirt to the first person who correctly posts all three words and the name of the next ColorDMD release!

    Getaway

    #167 5 years ago

What time are you posting the video?

    #168 5 years ago

    It's TOM

Edit... thought it was TSPP and Monopoly with something in the middle, but the map was the first image, so maybe not TOM.

    #169 5 years ago

I said TOM way back in thread

But he wants the three words........

    #171 5 years ago

As much as I would love TZ I thought I saw a clue that the designer was still in the game. Pat Lawlor has been mia for years.

    Theft Go America
    Theatre of Magic

    JPOP

    #173 5 years ago

    ...are you drunk?

    #174 5 years ago
    Quoted from DCFAN:

    Theft Go America
    Theater of Magic
    JPOP

    Well played.

No but I think it is correct.

    #176 5 years ago
    Quoted from DCFAN:

    Theft Go America
    Theater of Magic

    JPOP

    looks right to me.

i kept going America, Thief, Go and could not get it to work.

    #177 5 years ago
    Quoted from DCFAN:

    Theft Go America
    Theater of Magic
    JPOP

    Winner, winner! Chicken dinner!

    #178 5 years ago

Tom would be an incredible disappointment but I think you're right.

    #179 5 years ago
    Quoted from KingPinGames:

    looks right to me.
i kept going America, Thief, Go and could not get it to work.

My brain was stuck on "trick" but yeah, same problem.

    #180 5 years ago

Yeah Zucot, I agree that TOM is kind of a drag. The possibility of TSPP being the game was really exciting. TOM is just meh.

    #181 5 years ago

I might be picking up a Twilight Zone so I had to put it

I had "Game" "Thief" "Actor" but they didn't align well with all 3 pictures.

    Edit: It's a stretch
Map : "Thief" : Forefathers came over and stole the land
Go : "Game" : Monopoly is a game
Simpsons : "Actor" Bart and Homer are actors

    #182 5 years ago

I fixed the spelling of theatre to the English version instead of the American version even though it is an American made game:

I move to disqualify DCFAN from all future contests.

He won the WOZ date guessing game as well.

Maybe I have not won this one?

    #185 5 years ago

SS, MB and now TOM. I'm going to go broke!

Nice job DCFAN figuring it out.

    #186 5 years ago

    Indiana Go-nes.

(Hey, that map of America has a pic of Indiana in it, right?)

Okay...fine. IJ isn't happening. Here's hoping it does eventually.

Theatre of Magic is a good pick. I would approve.

    Pete

    #187 5 years ago

Nice dcfan! I think you're right.

    #188 5 years ago

ColorDMD... DCFAN wins. Do I get a $1 off for being the first person to state it was TOM on page 1 ?

    #189 5 years ago

Still patiently waiting for Twilight Zone.

    #190 5 years ago

Congratulations to DCFAN for solving the puzzle and winning a ColorDMD T-shirt!

But did you guys catch any other clues or red herrings?:

In the second hint, the posting of Bart and Homer was an obvious misdirection (a magician's trick). Another was the hint itself... The designer is still "in the game," an allusion to Tron that many people seemed to miss. I have to admit the image of Ritchie in Fish Tales was a fortunate but unforeseen benefit.

In the third hint, the "key" feature is Trunk Escape. The word key was in quotes... "Escape" is a key on a keyboard. At the end of the hint, we also told you "the big reveal" was coming... the end of a magic trick.

Hope you enjoyed playing! ToM video is coming shortly!

Twilight Zone looks killer in white Sigma scan lines. Fits the theme perfect.

    #192 5 years ago

Anything besides FT is a complete FAIL.

If not FT, then at least let me start colorizing the damn thing!

    #193 5 years ago

oh, and your clues still suck

My explanation fo why they all point to FT is better than the explanation for them pointing to TOM. Just sayin...

    Quoted from at_t_2d:

Has anyone put a ColorDMD in a TZ and just run it with white dots yet? That would be nice.

    Edit: Apparently, thanks Dug.

    Quoted from Aurich:

If I get that TZ I'm working on, I'll definately try it. I love the fact that I can now take my ColorDMD out of my STTNG and try it out in my other games to see if I like it or not before buying another one.

    Quoted from Whysnow:

i have offered to do the same with either TSPP or LotR. emails have been sent back and forth and nothing has ever come of it.

Ya, I have had mine set to white dots for a while… but, I switched back to the Sigma with scan lines once the enhanced 2.2 came out. Being able to switch back and forth and play around with different colors is awesome!

    #199 5 years ago

Hmmm. Coincidentally, I just put a nice TOM up for sale. Maybe I should keep it.

Come on now. Having a color display is a nice plus. A little bling. It doesn't change the game in any way, it still plays the same.
