When I purchased the Super Bright T2 kit from Cointaker I assumed that the flashers would be of the super bright nature instead they were just the normal flashers (I of course didn't bother reading I just clicked and picked.) I called Cointaker to inquire why they dont included the super flashers in their super kit. Two reasons were cost and popularity. They even went so far as saying that they are thinking of not selling the super bright flashers at all. I was intrigued so I purchased a couple of the super brights to see how much brighter they were over the standard. I was impressed by the light output and could see why people think they are to bright. I agree that maybe they are a little intense for on the playfield but I think that they are perfect for the backbox. So I want to take a poll and see what you guys think.

They are great when you really need a bright flash. I have one in my TZ that flashes when you get the camera shot and it really looks like a camera flash going off. I also have two of the 13 led ones under the planet in my JD - they show up really well considering how deep they are below other playfield parts.

I think the Super Brights in general are a bit too bright. In extended play sessions your eyes can start to feel strained. They definitely do have the immediate "wow" look. The Ablaze 3-LEDs aren't supposed to be as bright and might be a more practical choice, though these things can have ghosting issues. There are new Ablaze LEDs called "Ghostbusters" which are advertised to get rid of that problem but who knows how good they are.

The Ablaze Ghostbusters do indeed work as advertised. I just wish they were brighter.
I prefer normal flashers for most applications.

Ghostbusters do work but you are right they aren't bright. Plus they are a tad bit more expensive than the Cointakers.
