Hi all, I am about to place a big order for some cointaker LED's to do all 3 of my games but i am stuck on flashers. I am looking for colour more than brightness.

Firstly, should i colour match flasher domes/plastics?

Secondly, i am not sure wether to go for the flat 8 version or the supers? I am not a fan of LED's that are too bright (i am mostly using frosted's except where more light is needed) so i am just trying to work out which would be best the flat 8 or super flashers?

Would a super be better than a flat 8 in a flasher dome?

Any help before i place the order would be greatly appreciated.

The Flat8 flasher is the best flasher out there by far. I would color match with the color of the dome. Stay away from Yellow or Warm White flashers and use the cool white instead.

I've got some green & blue flat ones in my FT playfield and they look pretty nice... lots of color.

Oh man if those flat 8 flashers had a frosted cap that would be sweet! I'm looking for something to put into domes that won't blind me.

This style usually is a good choice for dome caps:

I recommend color matching, but for white or yellow use a white flasher.

I like the PBL flasher for domes, especially clear domes as you're not staring at a drag strip christmas tree under the dome.

Those don't put a much light sideways so they are not great for applications where you need the light to spread.

I used supers for flashers that faced up and flats for flashers that faced towards you. I also color matched and found yellow worked good in orange domes.

Correct DC, but they do work good in domes. They are not good under playfields where the bulb is 90deg to the playfield. CT has new flex 89's that are awesome for that.
