I'm trying to install the LND and Backbox Mood kit on my BSD.

I've got everything hooked up, but I can't figure out where to plug in the power?

The instructions that came with the kit say to plug it in at J4, but I don't have any pins at J4. In fact, I don't see that I have any available pins near the coin door at all.

I'm attaching a picture for reference. Any help would be appreciated. BSD-power.jpgBSD-power.jpg

If you check with your multimeter I believe you'll see the +12v is there (pin 4 maybe). I just added a row of pins for a clean install.

What mod is this ? I'm All about BSD .. Do you have a link to what Yr talk-n about..

And Yes , You will have to take the board out and soldier in some male lug's , assuming it's Wired to have there..

I had this same issue when trying to install Cointaker's color changing door kit on my TZ. As the others have already mentioned, you are going to need to solder some pins on to your board. Here's the original thread I started on the subject ...

I'm not too happy about the idea of having to solder pins to my board. I can do basic soldering, but soldering on a board is not something that I feel comfortable doing. Cointaker should have indicated that this would be required in the item description.

I've seen this mod in person. It looks phenomenal!

I did get an email from Chris and to his credit he offered to give me my money back if I'm not comfortable with soldering the board. He offered this without any request from me to do so. Very happy with Cointaker's customer service!!

It's not that hard to add some pins, and it's dirt cheap too.

Where do I get the pins? How do I solder them on?

Great plains electronics has the pins or pinballlife, or many other places.

You just push the pins into the holes, then solder them from the bottom of the board.

If you've never done board work it may be a bit daunting, but none of us were born knowing how to solder either. If I can learn, so can you.

Make sure you have a decent solder iron, I have a temperature controlled one.

Watch some youtube videos on soldering if you need to...
