Hoping that someone can give me a suggestion.

On my WHO Dunnit? (W?D) my coin door stopped giving credits when a coin is inserted.

I have all of my machines set to take tokens and it worked fine for about four months, all of a sudden the credits stopped registering. It makes the noise acknowledging a coin was inserted, but it doesn't give the credit on the screen.

I will note that I am having trouble with the spinner switch. The switch started having trouble about two weeks BEFORE the credit problem started, so it might be related... or it might not. I can't really see how it would be, but I guess it is a possibility.

I have a new switch on order, but wanted to see if there were any other suggestions I could try while I wait for it to arrive.

Thanks!
Chris

It could be related because the coin switch and spinner switch come in the same switch matrix. Are they on the same row or same column?

As far as it making the noise that you inserted a coin and not giving credit, that doesn't make much sense to me. Dumb question, it's not set to free play right?

The other thing you can try, is reset all settings to factory in the menus. Perhaps the settings got corrupt or your pricing is messed up so that you have to put a lot of coins to get a credit. So, try resetting to factory default.

Spy,

Yeah... duh, you are right. I should know to check the switch matrix. The spinner is on Flipper Grounded 5 and the Service Credits are on Dedicated Ground 5.

That would absolutely make sense that the spinner switch is causing the problem. I guess when it started it was intermittent enough that I didn't notice it, but as the switch continued to break down it became a constant on the credit circuit.

Sometimes I really feel stupid working on these machines. Thanks for the illumination!
