I am new to pinside. I have a 1980 flash Gordon that i have had for 20 years. It has two coils that are not hooked up one is the left sling shot and the other is the match coil. When I check them their is 20 volt with out being switched. If I hook them up they will burn up correct? Can anyone give me help? Chris

Thanks for the help. Coil are cheap I am going to just replace them. Is their a hot and a negative terminal to the coil? another words dose it matter which wire goes on which terminal. Also thanks so much for the manual info I have been looking all over for that info.

Thanks for all the help. read the material, checked everything before hooking up, it works as it should. The right info makes all the difference.
