I am shopping out a Gottlieb Lucky Hand and the coil on the B relay tests at 7.7 when wired in place and 14.9 when not wired in place. I see on the Omhs resistant chart that number should be 14.9. The coil number is A9735. What is the deal, am I missing something? Also on the TX relay armature (Tilt relay) the point stack leafs are bent like someone messed with them, see photos. Does anyone have an idea of how they are suppose to be correctly sitting in the armature? Thanks

Yes, someone did adjust the contacts without using the proper tool. That's why they are crinkled looking.

Some would suggest replacing them and make sure you have the proper gapping tool. I would replace them. You likely can set the gaps properly, just harder to do in that condition, more time consuming.

You can't reliably measure a device in circuit unless you know that there's nothing else in the circuit that might affect the measurement.

In this case the B relay coil is wired in parallel with another coil so what you're measuring is the resistance of two coils wired in parallel, which won't be the resistance of either coil.

Mark, thanks for explaining that to me, I get it now.
