I just increased the coil pulse power strength from normal to high on tron. The 12.5 percent increase does change the game play to faster. while I understand this could decrease coil life over the long term, any thoughts on the impacts this may have on a home use machine?

NP , I owe you a beer. Tron was not on my radar until I read your great write up. I ended up picking up the Pro model from Gap and I have to admit I love the machine ( LED's, FF sub and shaker). It was not love at first play, as my first game, I went 1st high score right out of the box ( what did I do? Is this game too easy?) but after that Tron showed me who is boss. This is a speed and ramp game so raising the coil power just made it faster. I am now a speed freak in a couple of days. Also, maybe my imagination but the shaker seems to be a little more powerful as well.

Quoted from SealClubber:

It is my understanding that setting is there for Ops to compensate for a dirty machine.

SC, I was hoping you would provide feed back. I did not think about the plastics. My research is that the high setting is also for low house voltage as well. My house has a low voltage problem ( my TAF trips on low voltage now and then), so maybe I am getting it up to normal speed with the higher setting.
