This Might be a stupid question but I'm going to ask it. Lol.
I'm cleaning up a TAF pinball and some of the coil paper wrappers are falling off and one is missing. Is it ok just to leave them off? What is the purpose of the paper coil wraps? Thanks for any info.

Thanks guys that is what I thought. The windings are all good and thight. Can I just tape the loose wrappers back with just some scotch tape? I will just leave the one wrapper off.
