I had one of the diverter gate coils (26-1500) on an F14 fail, and I since I have a new 24-900 coil in my parts box, I am looking for suggestions on whether I can use a 24-900 in its place. I would add a diode.

I hear the advice and I will not use the 24-900, thanks.

Is a 26-1200 an ok substitute for the short term?
