You may need to jiggle around the coil sleeve to get that inside the bracket. Or you may have the sleeve installed backward.
If that's a flipper coil, it goes the other way. Solder lugs away from the coil stop. Flanged end of the sleeve at the coil stop, sleeve extended out at the coil lug end of the coil. It will actually still fit like you have it but best to start installing correctly.
