This is the Clyde Lyde, an audio visualizer device, and it was used as the core for the DE Laser War topper. Somehow, I ended up with more than one of these, so I'm offering one up for sale.

It has a RCA mono jack in the back for audio, and an adjustment knob for sensitivity.

A generic power adapter (12v 2A) is included. The device itself only requires 800mA, so anything above that works fine.

I recorded a demo video with it plugged into an audio source with a few different styles of music.

    Shipping included.

George- can you please give me demensions and weight?
Im also seeing a 1/4 inch adapter in back, yes?
    Thanks

I'm not George--I think you might be thinking of another collector in my vicinity.

The only audio input is a male mono RCA jack. There are plenty of adapters available that can go from 1/4" or 1/8" to RCA. The smaller female jack is for the power adapter.

I don't have the dimensions handy at the moment--without measuring, maybe 9"x 9"x 4"?. I think it probably weighs less than 3 pounds, but I don't have a scale to verify.

Thanks for posting the video. I've seen tons of pictures of these but never one showing what it actually DID. Very cool!

Ummm, sorry. I think your right, it was the Balston spa thing.
Thanks for reply. Darn, smaller than i thought.
Approximate date for this? What year?

It's just a ballpark figure. I can get a specific measurement tonight.

It looks like it was manufactured starting in the early 80s up through the late 80s. I don't have a date for this specific one, but it seems to be a later model from what I can tell.

    The actual measurements are 11.5" x 11.5" x 3.5"
