Has anyone ever had controlled Inserts work during test modes and not work otherwise?
I've changed the LEDs and even 1 of the sockets with no avail.
Here's a quick video of the issue
Any suggestions is appreciated
Quoted from bobukcat:What happens if you put an incandescent bulb in there? Have you tried any other brand or type of LED?
Incandescent bulbs act similar. I've swapped several LEDs and still get similar results as well
Quoted from zene10:For controlled lighting to work properly you either need incandescent bulbs or an LED OCD board. The later takes trail and error to get dialed in for the low/medium/high reproduction of the controlled inserts with incandescent bulbs.
This was LED'd prior to my ownership but I've LED'd around 50 games and have had flickering issues. Ive also had Hergs OCD board. This is more than a flickering issue. I'm leaning towards it being a bad diode in the column. I've ordered a few new sockets from PBL. Hopefully I'll find 1 that's bad
Sorry, I never posted back on here but I was able to get it working correctly
After removing the entire column lamps, except the 2 light with problems, it gave the same results.
I removed all the lights in row 1, same results still.
I started testing all diodes in the column and found the pop had a suspicious DOTS (diode on terminal strips) with close wires.
I pulled it out, tested, and examined - it was OK, I put it back.
After turning on again to test, it worked.
IDK what the issue is, but possibly linked to the DOTS on that column.
I'm happy that it working but still kinda curious as what was the cause.
Quoted from ShortCorky:Does anyone know how to adjust the doc ock magnet? Mine seems a tad high and the ball jumps.
I can’t seem to find anything online on how to adjust.
TIA!
If it is mushroomed (rounded, not flat on top), you should replace the magnet core.
