Does anyone else think the back alley train car mod is way too big?

Anybody have done colored Titan silicone rubbers? And if so could you post a few pics preferably with out a potato camera.
Putting a few extras on today. Tilt Graphics Side inner art, flipper toppers from Cointaker, few colored Titan competition silicone rings, instruction cards, and some frosted Twin LEDs from Comet (those original twin clear top LEDs by Cointaker are blinding!)

Quoted from TicTacSeth:Did you make or print those custom cards? Or original?
Found them https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/club-spidey-members-and-guests-welcome/page/16#post-4268933
Quoted from hoby1:Sm original by a mile. Call outs and artwork blow the VE away imo
“ The power of the sun in the palm of my hand “
The artwork blows th VE away? Hmmm
I got my 500 plays VE for $6k and sold the topper for a net price of $5830

Did the illuminated bank target https://mezelmods.com/products/spider-man-illuminated-bank-target
Only issue was the instructions showed in pictures two led strips on the motor housing but the text worded it that the red strip goes up top and the blue strip goes on the bottom by the 2 bank height adjustment screws. I put the blue strip on the bottom as written, not pictured.

Quoted from Damien:Just joined the club today. Got my hands on an almost new example. One thing I noticed missing was any sort of leg protection.
Were these games shipped out with any protectors?
Was considering getting those felt protectors. Are they any good?
Thanks!
Congrats, my VE has metal leg protectors factory installed. I’d bet the original ‘07 didn’t ship with protectors. Metal protectors better than felt IMO. https://www.pinballlife.com/metal-cabinet-protectors-set-of-4.html
I’ve heard that people who used felt protectors experienced wiggle in the legs afterwards. Just go metal IMO
Quoted from Pinhead1982:Test balls , if they have become magnetised this plays a part.
Just put them Together to see if they attract
Or try a small metal paper clip on each ball
Quoted from pinnyheadhead:Nothing to add, except that I love SM. It’s a “shooter” for sure.
Ditto, playing last night with my 6yr old son before bed. He gets to Battle Royal - Nice
Quoted from PopBumperPete:are there any good aftermarket pop bumper caps for Spiderman?
Not that I’m aware of
Quoted from gweempose:Or better yet, get the blue webbed plastic protectors from Pinbits. They look fantastic on the game![quoted image]

Quoted from marspinball:What is the best side art or art blades for a SM vault? I can't seem to find one that matches the art. Or should I just go with mirror blades.

Changed over the blinding unfrosted factory LEDs to Comet 2SMD frosted. Most inserts color matched (still have green inserts to due). GI is 2SMD natural white except the lanes leading into the pops that I put Warm White under the red plastics.C2EB7A83-0AC2-449A-B444-532330BCAE11 (resized).jpeg395C672F-4383-4871-9BB6-15805F3A6A7D (resized).jpeg

Quoted from dimthedaylights:anyone steer me in the right direction on colordmd please. I picked one up for my lah and led was the only option. For spiderman i can get either lcd or led, whats best for spiderman?
LCD
Quoted from dimthedaylights:So pulled the trigger went led. But quick question am I supposed to have a visible gap between the display? Should I just reverse the mounting bolts?
[quoted image]
Shouldn’t be a gap
Quoted from Viperbsd:Just joined the club again with a Spiderman Vault Edition. Love the game and it is in like new condition. This one has interactive lights in the backboard that I have never seen before. They are awesome, but a bit bright, as are the stock LED's.
I owned a Spidy Vault in the past and I do not remember the LED's being so bright.
I may end up replacing some of the factory LED's with softer ones and add a color dmd.
Are the general illumination LEDs frosted or clear. When I got my vault it had the factory clear top LEDs and they were horrible, swapped em all out for frosted dome topped LEDs
Quoted from Viperbsd:This is a good idea I had not thought of and much easier than swapping out all the LED’s
LED OCD may require a little different hook up on the vault edition that came set up already with LEDs. I don’t remember specifically but I’d ask around how to do it first
Quoted from Lawtalkinguy:I know it’s just part of the game, but has anyone had any success at limiting the bounce back on doc ock from the left flipper on OG Spidey? I feel like 50% of my clean shots bounce back. That seems like a very high percentage.
Many have placed a piece of foam at the back of doc ock shot. I’d prefer this there to limit the bounce back https://www.pinballlife.com/1-square-blue-rubber-pad-with-adhesive-backing.html
Picture isn’t close to what the trough looks like in real life, more VERY light purple, not blue like camera pic captured it. But I got Comet’s pinball trough lighting kit in purple installed today. Subtle in person, great results for the price. https://www.cometpinball.com/products/outhole-lighting-kit

Changed shooter rods today, matches my IMVE, next up illusion smurf blue powder coating job

Anyone have videos of the LCD color dmd in their game ?
I read LED has is ups and downs
Any further info would be great
Color dmd website has the same YouTube clip for both versions offered
Thanks
Just get a LCD, way more advantages with LCD
Quoted from bajm:anyone try the back alley buildings and train on a Vault edition? curious to see what it looks like. Are they worth it? I'd love to see some photos...
To me they both seem too BIG and crowding. Too much IMO
Quoted from shovelhed:Matt Mckee Topper best there is. My humble opinion of course
[quoted image]
I disagree as it’s redundant with “Spiderman” already on the translite right below it
Quoted from PoMC:Recently got my vault....what's wrong with the factory artwork?
Have any pics of this installed on a game?
Already asked him, he doesn’t have any pics of it installed. Would help sales IMO
Quoted from gambit3113:It does, but the Ultimate version of GG is really dumb looking.
Agreed
The new translite while so nice wasn’t being lit up enough with the stock fluorescent tube. So an Arcade Upkeep Dimming Backbox Panel did the trick, also got the Arcade Upkeep Stern Smart Color Under Cabinet Kit for it.

Quoted from MasterBlaster:Thanks for the pic, it’s much better than the one on their website. So is it worth the $? Looks like it does a pretty good job of lighting the translite.
Yes it’s worth it. They also go on sale every year Black Friday I think. And you can adjust how much they dim or not during gameplay and attract mode. Lights up soooo much better than the fluorescent tube.
Quoted from MadMaxDad:A ball hit one of these flipper web plastics and broke it (photo taken before the accident)
Can’t remember where I got them?
Anybody know where to get a set ?
Thanks!
[quoted image]
Though yours look translucent these are opaque red
Quoted from Zartan:How many have the buildings and train mods? Would you suggest them? At $400 for the two it’s a steep price! Plus the machine I’m getting has side art blades. Will the Velcro damage it?
Building and train mods are just too big in my opinion and overwhelm the playfield with their HUGE scale. Not a fan
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/club-spidey-members-and-guests-welcome/page/17#post-4274125
Now here was another member doing what I also believe is more suited for the playfield - smaller scale train. Much better than the bigger more common train mod IMO
