Joined the club this past Saturday. Really enjoying it so far. I do have a question about doc ock airballs. It’s seems lately, after changing out coil sleeves on the flipper, that the ball is getting air from the carbon fiber cliffy that is around the magnet and jumping over the optic switch hitting the blue bumper under doc and bouncing out without triggering the optic switch. The magnet feels fairly close to the level of the cliffy protector, but the cliffy is raised up the normal cliffy amount. Anyone have a solution for this? I was thinking about putting a small amount of deadening foam on the blue piece so that the ball would drop right down and trigger the switch on the way out.

Looking to trade a gorgeous ACDC premium for a SM if anyone is looking to shake things up. Original, not diet Spidey. Thanks.

place a small piece of mylar in front of the magnet, It will act as a small transition ramp towards the magnet causing the ball not to airball off the cliffy. I had the same problem every now and then. Since mylar install, I may have had a fail or two in hundreds of balls

I’ll give it a try thanks. Leave the carbon fiber cliffy in place then?

yes here's a photo of mine. You may see the outline of the mylar. I'm blind in one eye at the moment so taking photos is a little difficult

I see it perfectly. Thanks again.

#1357 65 days ago

Thanks for the suggestion with the mylar, it works great.

Next question: I just installed an LED OCD board. I know there has been talk about installing the settings already done by herg but I’m a little confused as to how to install them. Also should that setup only be used for non ghosting LEDs? I have ghosting LEDs.

I can import a file that says “more blinky during multiball” is that the file to import? If it is, do I leave everything set to profile 7? Thanks for the help in advance.

PM sent on the protectors.

#1359 65 days ago

Spidey moved in next to Deadpool, perfect compliment and i'm loving it. There's room in the modern pin section for one more but i have my eye out for a Tommy, Dracula and Theatre of Magic.
Only one fits there though and the rest will have to go out in the other lane.

Black Spider-Man in gloss black, before & after pics. I can’t stand chrome. I did save the original chrome parts though. Thoughts? Go

Need some Noob help here so please go easy on me and explain it like im 5 lol. So I just got my first pin in my house the 2007 spider-man wooo! everything works great with one exception and i cant quite figure it out. The left bumper constantly goes off on its own and registers points. this happens when the ball loads when you take shots you name it, i did some research and looks like its just an adjustment but i dont fully understand it and dont want to mess it up so any help from you fine folks would be greatly appreciated!

When you say left bumper, do you mean the three pop bumpers up top where you plunge to, or are you referring to the left sling shot (triangle piece right above the flipper)

Knowing names of things will help diagnosis, so I'm letting you know the difference (not trying to be rude)

Your switch is probably gapped too close. This is an excellent video that explains how to adjust it ...

Oops! You were referring to the slinsghot, not the pop bumper. I'd still recommend taking a look at that first video. It will help you understand exactly how a pop bumper works. For the slingshot adjustment, check out this video ...

I have them on my 2010 model (2007 version). I'm the third HUO owner, the original owner i've been told imported it direct from Stern to here in OZ.

That looks good. Maybe replace the t-molding on the backbox with black also?

Also there were some kick ass ones that you could buy direct from the man himself through SRP but that was long before I was in the club

Yeah... but it’s not. We ran into the same issue for clear Tron discs a while back and a pinsider from the UK bought them and shipped to some of us in the USA. Not sure it would work well for just 1 decal.

Could always find a friendly Canadian to ship to....

Starting to pick up the shots on this game. I'm getting to 80-90 mill instead of 30 to 40 mill. I've had it 3 weeks i guess, slow learner and below average player.
But starting to put some combo's together.

Still find it hard to keep the balls from the outlanes.

Hello friends, is there any audio modification for spiderman red?

Interested here as well!

I've posted this under the Pinball Browser thread:

Has anyone had success in reworking Spider-Man, and be willing to share their file?

I have a friend's SM here, until he completes his house build. He's only played maybe one game. It would be cool to update it for him.

Are there scoring or rules differences between the Orginal and the Vault? I have a Vault and the score card is exactly the same as the Orginal.

#1394 47 days ago

Back in the club! Found a gorgeous huo in pristine condition. Time to add some mods. Can’t wait to pimp her out.

The rules are exactly the same. The modes have been renamed with new audio/video assets, but the rules for each are the same as the equivalent original.

I do not know many alternative versions. I know one person did the end song different. But for the rest, the original soundtrack of this machine has been considered to be pretty good.
