Can someone tell me what you should apply around the holes as filler (due to previous wear) before applying Cliffys? I've seen a few posts that the wear areas need to be filled, but have not seen what is best to be used.

Is the wear so bad that the cliffy won't cover it up? I would imagine any kind of wood filler would be suitable to build up the area, sanded down to shape "back to normal" then covered with a cliffy.

Cliffy will cover it up, but I've seen a few posts where people have had issues not doing some filler previously.
