I need to thank Richard (Out-West) for the help with templates and testing. We nailed it in two tries! It's not an EASY install but well worth the effort. My goal was not only to protect and cover but also make it look somewhat like part of the compass.
Yes it's new not even on my page but I only made a small handfull - less to toss if they failed Right now Tron ramps are taking all my time but as soon as I finish wading through the back order list I'll be knocking this one out. Here are a couple pics of the protector itself. Thanks again Richard!
Curvy Any chance you make drac track protectors yet?
I like my mesmerizing semi circular motions to be smooth and shiny.

ehhhhhh.... that's still a tough one but I do have a (repro) playfield now so I'll be experimenting shortly
Wow. I have a black rose with the same type of wear. Gonna get one of these as soon as it's possible.
Awesome SDF! Would love to see a couple pics and here how your installation went. It's gotta be the toughest one to install that I make

I did not find it very difficult. Steps I took:
1. Get at least 1person to help
2. Stand playfield up
3. Loosen subway that delivers ball to cannon move about 1 inch out of way
4. Remove any bulbs or bulb/ sockets that interfere with cannon assy removal
5. Have helper hold cannon assy and remove screws that attach BLACK cannon assy mounting ring to playfield
6. Have helper hold playfield 45 degree angle and another helper hold cannon assy out of way
7. Carefully position Cliffy Protector
8. Stand playfield back up
9. Reattach cannon assy leaving attach screws just lightly snug
10. Check cannon edge clearance from top side playfield
11. Move cannon assy until even clearance obtained.
12. Tighten mounting screws
13. Reinstall bulbs, sockets, subway.
14. Properly thank helpers.
I need to order one of these, the machine I'm restoring currently has the cannon mech and assembly totally removed. You really need to do some ramp protectors for this one
Wow, that looks amazing! Great job Cliff! A must-have for this game. Unfortunately, I don't see anywhere online where these can be purchased anymore. Anyone have a link?

Can anyone using a cannon cliffy comment on leveling the cannon, and how the cliffy affects ball travel? I spoke with a fella that put 4 cliffys all around the compass, which he said closed the gap between pf and cannon (I've had the ball follow the rut between a couple times) as well as make the cannon easier to level. Just looking for some feedback on using a cliffy, or 4, or Have the pf fixed and painted. I'm totally loving this game!
Thanks
Scott
