    Only 3 weeks away!

    Highly considering.

Plane and hotel booked. Seeya there!

Ready to party, ready to pump, and ready to dump.

    2 weeks later

Is there a tournament game list for us loser obsessive tournament types?

Some of us are ready to pump, and DUMP!

    Quoted from chuckwurt:

    MAIN:
    Iron Maiden
    Kiss
    TMNT
    Walking Dead
    Attack From Mars
    Royal Rumble
    High Speed 2
    Transporter
    Quicksilver
    CLASSICS:
    Big Game
    Meteor
    Mystic
    Nitro Groundshaker
    Stars
    High Hand

    That list fucking sucks!

    I kid I kid it's rad!

    Quoted from chuckwurt:

Any tournament with stars and big game is automatically awesome. Can’t wait to play both tonight.
Maybe you can help us with commentary on stream too!

    Right on!

Do you have any of your quick tutorial guides up for Transporter / TMNT / Mystic?

    #160 1 year ago
    Quoted from chuckwurt:

Nope. We will have to learn them together. Haha. I’ll be taking pics of the playfields though, so I can then make the minutorials later.

Mystic and Transporter probably have like 4 rules each so I'm sure a few pumps and I'll have those figured out. TMNT...man I just don't get that dumb game at all but pump and dump is a pretty good way to learn it. Playing that game is like a visit to the dentist for me. Although a drill to the molars is probably less obnoxious than that song/theme.

    Quoted from grantopia:

Mystic the top saucer lights the spinner, then spinner all day.
If you want to play for the drops (which are deadly, I never do) you can complete a grid of drops to rack up bonus and captive ball multiplies bonus.

That’s the kind of tutorial I like.

    Now do transporter!!

Also are these games normal or will these classics be outfitted with abhorrent, loathsome “custom ROMS?”

    Quoted from Pinballflare:

Overall a great show. Games were in really nice shape and there was a great selection. Only change I would suggest is more lighting. Some games were hard to see the ball and using my phone light to see what the vendors were selling was not the best. Will definitely be back next year.

People always complain about it being dark and then they crank up the lights and they complain about glare.

Pinball is better in the dark than a bright room I thought it was fine. Most pinball machines have lights on the playfield.

    Quoted from Fordiesel69:

Was there any food / drinks this year? I did not spend much time looking thru the hotel but I seem to recall there was food prior years.

I don't believe so, but there's a restaurant in the hotel, and there's another half dozen options within a 5-minute walk. I had meals at the hotel, Denny's, Winking Lizard, and the Bonefish Grill.

    Quoted from chuckwurt:

I switched it up this year and did Uber eats all weekend. I never left the show. Haha

I was wondering where that Orange Chicken came from!

    Quoted from Gundam_Pilot_:

This will likely be my last year of bringing games.
The mister robot had an accident, so for me that was the final straw.

    What happened to it?

I enjoyed the private tour you gave me on it one evening late.

I do remember watching that thing do it's routine and wondering how it was possible these weren't all immediately broken/damaged on location, especially with all those kids and teens running around. Looks pretty complicated and fragile.

    Quoted from chuckwurt:

I think Marco brought those and pretty sure they were display only.

The fact that distributors made a habit of selling these for a profit is also why you probably won’t be seeing them much anymore. They were intended as promo Schwag to help sell games and dress up show booths, not as product.
