gonna clearcoat my playfield.

already removed all the mylar from around the pops, slings
gun targets .

there are little circles of mylar over each
t800 eye and over the teeth.

can i clear over those or should i try and
remove.

they are on there pretty good.

I think you should remove all Mylar first.....

You sure that’s not inset art?

unfortunately you need to remove mylar first or else I'm afraid clear would cure uneven. But then again I'm no expert.

Ideally you should remove them before applying new clear coat.

But in some cases you can not remove them without destroying the art. If that the case your left with deciding, do you apply new clear coat at all or go over the mylar? For me personally for a game of that age I would go ahead and clear coat over the mylar as protecting the overall playfield is more important.

Quoted from lowbeau67:

I use these when I get to delicate areas I don't want to risk a metal blade on.

Try can of air & plastic razor blade?

Remove the mylar first!
Then restore and clearcoat the playfield.
After that, some hot spots should be protected with mylar again.

I have cleared over mylar many times. You will have to add more clear to the playfield to get those areas level. As long as the mylar isn't peeling around the edge your fine, if it is peeling cut that portion off before clearing, when you scuff the playfield before clear male sure you scuff the mylar areas as well so the clear will stick
