What's the best solvent for removing rubber residue from flipper bats without softening or damaging the plastic? Alcohol and naphtha have removed some of the surface residue, but what's left has been ground-in from thousands of ball hits and won't budge. Will anything dissolve this without harming the bat?
The 91% alcohol did a bang-up job with some muscle behind it, nice bright white again. I usually just toss & replace but I really wanted to reuse these as they're in great shape, plus they're originals with the "W" logo instead of the "M" logo.

Save yourself a little work and go with denatured alcohol. It should clean them faster.

This stuff is awesome, but I wish they hadn't changed it. Apparently it has acetone in it now. I used to use the old version to remove mylar glue and it worked fantastic. Now it would kill the paint
