    or Klean-Strip Phosphoric Prep & etch. Available from Home Depot. I use a 4" pvc pipe with a sealed cap on one end, filled with 1 maybe 2 gallons of prep & etch. Soak then rinse with water then towel dry. Does not attack chrome or the base steel. Rust is dissolved and the bare steel has a light grey/black oxide (good oxide) coating that is easily polished out.
