Working on a game that has a lot of corrosion on the jones plugs (normal) but also on the metal plates the relays and scoring reels are mounted to. What is the best way to remove the corrosion on these parts and clean them up?

Some great tips guys. Thanks very much.
This game will be stripped down entirely. I've been looking for one of these for about 3 years.
Stashyboy - is that mean green what you use in the ultrasonic? How long of a cleaning cycle do you use? Those parts look great.

Once a part has been cleaned either ultrasonically or with something like evaporust, do you have to coat the part to prevent further rust or oxidation?
If so, why not just media blast and paint?

I guess what I was getting at is last night I cleaned some parts with evaporust and they look pretty good, and I wondered what keeps them from rusting again.
