The brass legs on my WCS are dirty and rusty.
What is the best way to clean them? Is it even possible without loosing the finish?
I’ll go ahead and warn you, they are not real brass. If you rub much on them, it’s coming off. Same goes for the stuff they put on the wireforms. Hope that helps.
Quoted from hawkmoon:One sure oldie is "Brasso"!

I will tell you, and I don;t know aboot plating much, i had "brass" plated wireforms and brasso just ripped it right off the metal.
Be careful
Yeah, please don’t ever buy any brass plated stuff from me and use brasso, lol. All good brass plating should have a clearcoat and shouldn’t need anything more than occasional waxing (like your car) on the parts you touch with your hands, as the acid will over time eat through the clear otherwise, if taken care of, it shouldn’t ever be an issue. Waxing also helps polish out small scratches.
