Swirl marks. That's dirt in micro scratches and cracks in the playfield. A magic eraser will reduce the appearance of them but they're pretty harsh and Gottlieb paint is pretty soft, might not end well.
I haven't seen a single System 3 game without marks like that, usually they're worse in fact.
I am going a little off topic here, but I love baseball and the idea of a non pitch and bat baseball pin is intringues me. How do you like Big Hurt?
I like it for the variety -> play for points of course, or try to set the record for home runs, grand slams, catches, etc. If you like baseball, it's a good pin for the price.
