Joe,
I would Def NOT use Magic Eraser (made by MR CLEAN) on a pin from the 70's. One rub too much and you will have WOOD showing instead of paint. Use the NOVUS 2 or TREASURE COVE's #2. You can use Magic Eraser's with 90+% Alcohol on your "Modern" Era machines.
