Picked up a 1975 Bally Miss America. The parts in the back box are covered in soot from the switches. Looks like it has not been cleaned in years. What the best way to remove the soot.

I saw that video, using water to clean it? I thought water and electrical parts don't mix!

It works fine, providing you dry it out before switching on!

I've been to this guys place 18 months ago and bought a Bingo from him that had been done in this fashion and it's still going strong today.

at this time of year in your location, it'd be electricity and ice don't mix.

when doing the hose down method, the hotter and dryer the air the better to get the water evaporated. You don't want the same effect as a wet pile of leaves.

'course, in the summer the 99% humidity would be a problem, so that kinda limits you to doing it when it's sunny and hot, but the mosquitos aren't sweating.

    near Lake Erie, that'd be May 27th at 2:30pm +/- 2 hours?

Anyone know what a good US-available substitute for Sorbo Blue Wonder would be?
