    Quoted from BangBackula:

I just don't see a way that Stern could make them affordable enough to compete with what is already out there. For under a thousand (and I've found them under 500) you can already get most classic Stern's in decent enough shape. Also, they made a TON of them.

They're apparently not particularly common on the West Coast, I rarely ever see classic Sterns, for sale or in collections. It's an era I'm actually pretty ignorant of as a result, I know Star Gazer and Nine Ball and Sea Witch, but that's kind of it.

Nugent would probably be less expensive now than in the 70s
The Tea Baggers would go nuts for this!

Needs to be rethemed into the Mad Max Fury Road guitar player.

Wishful thinking there .... $4999 maybe.
Funny that you guys are discussing Seawitch. I had a sleepless night in HongKong the other night, and I came up with some simple gameplay upgrades for Seawitch which would bring gameplay into the 2015s. Very simple to implement.
You could easily run the game from the new Stern Board. Those things probably cost like $100. Would be way cheaper than anything else.
Maybe I'll have a chat to Gary when I'm up that way in October. I'm coming Gary! My shout!

I love the idea of (optional, original available too) upgrades to old school games with some more modern rule thinking.

I just don't see old Sterns selling all that well. For better or for worse they don't have the cache of old Bally games. People will snap up a new Fathom, but much fewer are going to want a Seawitch.

The people running their Facebook account are not the people building machines. Your statement is pointless.

Good point, let's get Jared to work on the line! No more lazy social media work, get cranking! We'll get him a microwave.
