Some commercials are embedded in my brain from child hood. This one was great.

Go see Cal. There are plenty more like this, too, some less grainy, but this is a good summary.

My god....I remember seeing his commercials when I was real young in the late 70’s / early 80’s. That’s the stereotype of a car salesman right there.

-visit https://www.kahr.us to get my daughterboard that helps fix WPC pinball resets or my replacement LED display boards for model H & model S Skee Ball

He absolutely ruled the airwaves in SoCal in the 80s, along with his dog Spot. Get this, from Wikipedia. Unbelievable, more than 300 million in 1988!

According to a profile published in the Sacramento Bee in 1990, Worthington grossed $316.8 million in 1988, making him at the time the largest single owner of a car dealership chain. His advertising agency, named Spot Advertising, had Worthington as its only client and spent $15 million on commercials, the most of any auto dealer at the time

There are so many great ones. But truly this might be my all time favorite. I still love to say “I must be in the front rooow!” whenever I get the chance, even though nowadays most people don’t get the joke.

    Those commercials were good.

Figured this thread would be a healthy outlet for Odin but nowhere to be seen!

Here’s probably the best commercial of all time:
